  • Sylvester Stallone announces 'Rambo 5' title

After months of speculation, Sylvester Stallone has finally announced the title for the fifth (and seemingly final) “Rambo” movie, “Rambo: Last Blood.” The actor simply tweeted earlier this week that he’ll be filming a gangster biopic about Gregory “the Grim Reaper” Scarpa after shooting “Rambo: Last Blood.” Seven years have passed since Stallone last reprised the role of Vietnam vet John Rambo. The last film, “Rambo,” earned $113 million worldwide.

Had J.R.R. Tolkien lived in the Middle-earth of his own creation, the festivities surrounding his annual birthday celebration would likely involve tables full of honey-cakes and lembas, and many a glass of miruvor schlepped in from the Woodland Realm of the Elves.

Don't look so guilty, you're on ESPN! Ohio State fan who turned ashen faced when she was caught on camera caressing a male friend Six very awkward seconds captured by television cameras during Thursday's Sugar Bowl has set off a flurry of speculation and theories as to what exactly was going on. An Ohio State fan is apparently gently stroking the back of a blond man's head, but when she realizes she is being filmed she acts like she has been caught with her hand in the cookie jar. But why? What exactly was she doing that caused her to...

  • Hotel Hopes Guests Head Home With a Rescue Dog

    12/31/2014 1:46:51 PM PST · by Perdogg · 13 replies
At this hotel, guests get welcomed with a wagging tail or a warm lick to the face. A dog will bound out from behind the registration desk, clad in an "Adopt Me" vest, as visitors arrive at the Aloft hotel in downtown Asheville, North Carolina, believed to be the only hotel in the U.S. where guests can adopt the dog that greets them when they check in. But the hotel doesn't overwhelm road-weary travelers to this mountain tourist mecca, where people come to tour the nation's largest home, the Biltmore estate; cast a fly-fishing rod; or hoist a beer in...

It appears the glorious trend of decling initial jobless claims has run its course. For the last 5 months, initial claims have oscillated around the crucial-to-the-narrative 300k level - breaking the constant downtrend of the last 4-5 years. Today's 298k print, up 17k from last week, is the same level seen in the 3rd week of July.

Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is not suspended from Sunday’s playoff game after all. Suh has won the appeal of his one-game suspension and will play on Sunday at Dallas. Instead of getting suspended, Suh will be fined $70,000. That’s actually a more harsh financial penalty than a suspension would have been, as players on wild card teams are paid $22,000 for their first playoff game.
