I just have to share this... Was just at the store and noticed a very handsome young man in front of me in-line. A tatoo on his arm said Iraq, something to August, 2007. I got his attention and thanked him for his service. He looked me straight in the eye and said, "No problem m'am, glad to do it." I asked him his name and he replied, "American soldier, m'am, just American soldier." then he winked at me and walked out.

GALESBURG - Local colleges have seen an increase in student plagiarism in recent years which college officials attribute to the Internet. A Web search last week for "term paper mills" yielded 175 sites, all intended to help students cheat. Knox, Carl Sandburg and Monmouth colleges have policies to punish students for academic dishonesty, including automatic failure of the course and possible expulsion from the school. "Typically they wait 'til the last minute, and it may be a good student, then they get panicked and go to the Internet," said Rajkumar Ambrose, associate dean of faculty at Monmouth College, explaining why...

Just returned from Keokuk, Iowa, where the memorial service took place for the 3 firemen who gave their lives trying to save three children. These firemen left 8 children of their own and the mother lost 3 children. It is hard to comprehend this tragedy and the effect that it has on the lives of so many in such a small Mississippi River town. Please keep these families in your prayers this holiday season. The funerals are tomorrow.

We can't understand what went wrong in Littleton, Colorado. If only the parents had made sure their children didn't take guns to school, we wouldn't have had such an unbelievable tradgedy. Without a thought, it must have been those gunsIt couldn't have been the 6 or 7 hrs. of TV the average youth spends everyday watching violent movies, which Hollywood continues to produce at an alarming rate. It couldn't have been because approximate one half of our children are being raised in broken homes. It couldn't have been because so many children are raised in day care centers where-in they ...
