The return of the bust of Churchill flustered the British government... nonplussed... amazed.

Churchill could explain it to them:

I cannot forecast to you the action of Obama. He is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key. That key is Socialist political interest.

MICHAEL M KAMRAVA, MD is an American medical school graduate, and has managed to have a CA medical license since 1979 without any disciplinary action. Now, 30 years into his medical practice he is implanting Octuplet factories? Bizarre.

No such worries at the New York Times, I've checked. The London Times still prints news even if not to the liking of Democrats, and as a result will likely still keep printing after the New York Times demise.

I wonder if there is any significance to posing in front of the portrait of John C. Calhoun ?

    AARP's reaction should be interesting.

AARP will not react in any way that will furrow the brow of any Democrat. Just as the stimulus bill isn't about economic stimulus, neither is the AARP about the interests of retired people.

I think it foolish to pay any attention to anything reported in the press or media.

The press or media is largely how we find out about the world outside our immediate experience. If it is biased, our experience of the world is distorted. Politically, it adds up to voting decisions, and thus a government ruling us, based on a distorted reality. The internet in general, and sites like FR in particular are our main antidote to the bias. Paying attention to, analyzing, exposing and dissecting the bias are among the more important things we can do here.

Look at this picture. That's the very definition of "moderate Muslim". Look at the late Aasiya Hassan, beautifully coiffed, glossy-lipped.

This is sad as it is scary.

Diverse viewpoints are the lifeblood of a democracy, and debating these viewpoints is how we learn from each other's perspective and refine our approaches.

He'll be saying this when he signs The Fairness Doctrine Act of 2009. Squelching conservative talk radio enhances diversity of viewpoints, you see.

Except that Chris Field is not 'a top climate scientist'. Rather, Chris Field is a professor of biological sciences.

Field apparently is a scientist who publishes alarmist papers on the biological effects of climate change. So that makes him, for Reuters, a top climate scientist, even if he couldn't rank the altitudes of the thermosphere, ionosphere and mesosphere.

This hardly seems fair. Ann will be on hostile Manhattan turf (recall the McCain Manhattan rally?), and with a moderator who is as left as his loafers are light.
