Doggett’s Bastrop fiasco didn’t go much better. In a city that is deep blue, 1/3 of the crowd at City Hall was protesters. Doggett then moved on to the Kerr Community Center (an old black church), under a police escort, where at least 1/3 of the people were protesters.

The blue t-shirts (Bastrop County Democratic Party) tried to shut the protesters down. On blue shirted lady tried to get the Bastrop PD to make the protesters leave. She didn’t have any luck. But there was some pushing and shoving of one protester, who filed charges and a African American guy threatened an older lady and told her if she didn’t shut the hell up, after she yelled at Doggett if he would go on the public plan himself, she would suffer the consequences. She asked the guy if he was threatening her and he repeated what he said, that she would suffer the consequences if she didn’t shut up. She also filed a police complaint and was visably shaken by being threatened.

Doggett gave his “this health care bill is wonderful, it just screws senior citizens” speech and when it came time to answer questions, he clearly only called on people he knew were Democrats. This angered the protesters who knew what he was doing. Some of the blue shirts yelled at the protesters and told them that Doggett had come to talk to them, not the protesters.

I left early because it was getting pretty shakey and I was afraid there was a possibility it was going to get out of control.

Doggett didn’t exactly get the reception he expected in deep blue Bastrop.

Last week I access the City of New Orleans Emergency Preparedness Plan. Now it seems it has been removed from their site and all I get is "access denied".

Has anyone got a copy of the plan?

Wonder what Nagin and gang had in mind when they took it off the website?

First let me state that almost the whole state of Texas is behind your sons and the job they do. We are proud of them and when the 10th Cav pulled Saddam out of his rat hole, a friend, whose husband was 10th Cav and in Iraq at the time, called me screaming "they got him, they got him".
I want you to know that we do not appreciate Cindy Sheehan. Nor do we back her. We are sickened that she has chosen our state to spout her anti-American, anti-Israeli, anti-war hate-Bush retoric.
That said, take a look at the "usual" suspects that surround her; Sheila Jackson Lee, who is so brilliant that she remarked about the Mars rover landing that she hoped they got a picture of that little flag there (we landed on the moon, not Mars, but of course, Lee doesn't have the grey cells to realize that); Joan Baez, who anyone under the age of 40 does not know who she is; John Conyers,Jr. who choses to put his tax payer paid-for web site that all congressment and senators have in Arabic and to use campaign funds for pandering donations for Cindy Sheehan. I only wish the Gold Star Mothers of America, Inc. would sue Cindy for the use of their name.
Tell us what we can do. Tell us how to get your story out. America needs to know it. We need to pound on the MSM until they tell your story.
And Cindy Sheehan needs to get the hell out of Texas.

Nope, no American flag. It's the Lone Star. And I should know. I have them all over the place.
Now the bitch has really pissed me off. First she insults my nation, now she insults my state.
