The Diocese of Rochester announced Thursday it has placed Rev. Michael J. Volino on administrative leave following federal charges of trafficking child pornography. Father Volino is under house arrest and now required to wear an ankle monitoring bracelet. Federal authorities have charged Volino with possessing and receiving child pornography via the internet. In the criminal complaint Father Volino admitted to the FBI that he downloaded the child porn. Greece police are investigating allegations that a 6th grade wrestler was sexually assaulted by older team mates in the locker room at Greece Athena High School. The boy's mother said after a practice Saturday he called his family in tears. The victim's family said at least one other child was wrestled to the ground first--and stripped of his clothing--and then their son was attacked. Production and finishing of the famous Kodak-yellow boxes for film will be moved to Mexico and China. A single engine Cessna plane crashed around 5:30 p.m. Thursday in a baseball field near Strong Hospital, approximately two miles from the Greater Rochester International Airport. Officials say the pilot was killed and was the only person on board the plane.
