I was recently discussing economics with a professor of mine when the subject of the WTO (World Trade Organization) came up, and to my surprise, he seemed to be supporting it. To those of you who are unaware as to the purpose of the WTO, the WTO makes it a goal to promote free trade do away with all tariffs between countries. Back to the point, he was discussing how tariffs are bad and do not allow the world market to adjust itself. I personally think he was only saying this simply as a result of a screwy lesson plan,...

As many of you are aware, Paul Wolfowitx has now been named head of the world bank. Many individuals are opposed to this, and i am curious as to why there is such a strong since of opposition in this man's new government position. Can someone answer my questions? 1. What makes this man qualified for head of world bank? 2. Why are so many people opposed to his position.
  • Boycott CNN

I was working out at the YMCA yesterday, when I made the mistake of turning the audio feeder for my headphones to the CNN television. As I turned, they were talking about the anniversary of the allied liberation of Auschwitz and other various concentration camps, not to be taken lightly of course. But as I was watching, waiting for Fox to come back on, they had some guest holocaust survivors come to the broadcast and voice their views and opinions about pretty much anything relating to WWII. Oh boy, wasn’t that fun to watch. I expected to see the survivors...
  • Famous Athiest Now Believes in God

    03/03/2005 5:02:18 PM PST · by Right Wing It · 4 replies · 504+ views
A British philosophy professor who has been a leading champion of atheism for more than a half-century has changed his mind. He now believes in God more or less based on scientific evidence, and says so on a video released Thursday. At age 81, after decades of insisting belief is a mistake, Antony Flew has concluded that some sort of intelligence or first cause must have created the universe. A super-intelligence is the only good explanation for the origin of life and the complexity of nature, Flew said in a telephone interview from England. Flew said he's best labeled a...

Earlier Today, my official FR noob innitiation whatever forced me to realize the frivolousness of my previous post. Over 200 comments and not one positive. In result, i have typed this in hopes of regaining my reputation as someone aware of what geos on in the world, and doesn't worry about "Schadenfreude" (See last post) So here it is, "Illegal Immigration and the INS" Illegal immigration. Most blow off the subject, after all, the liberals say, it’s the illegal immigrants that do the jobs that most American citizens don’t want to do, they “help shape our economy by taking the...

I was unaware up until this point that there was a German word meaning "happiness at the misfortune of others" The Word is "SCHADENFREUDE". What makes it ironic is that it is the only national language in the world to have a word for such a subject. Who else thinks there should be an American word for this?
  • Pro-Life, and Death Penalty

I have had enough of people asking how I can be pro-life, but for the death penalty. This is one of the most un-thought out question that someone can ask me. For all those that simply don’t see the logic behind this, I will attempt to explain. Pro-life is referring to killing a completely innocent life form, I.E.: a fetus. Yes, a fetus is living. Many claim that a fetus is not living because it is just an underdeveloped group of cells, and it doesn’t have a conscious will of its own. This is a completely outlandish way for someone...

“Show us proof!,” skeptics sometimes shout, suggesting by their taunt that there is no reliable evidence that supports a young Earth. From formal debates to Internet chat forums, the challenge is made to supply proof that contradicts evolution. Sadly, even many Christians now question whether there is sufficient evidence to support the biblical account of Creation. “Providing the proof” is exactly what Apologetics Press is all about. And “proof” was exactly what we found on a field expedition to southeast Tennessee on February 12, 2005. It was there that we met Dan Jones, who revealed to us a geologic anomaly...
