I don't get it. Arafat keeps on saying how he also wants to be a martyr. In the Defensive Shield operation, he said to a reporter in his Rammallah compound that he is already a "Shahid" (martyr) and that he will sacrifice himself soon.

Why the fuck doesn't he send himself to die? If its so good... I'm sure 72 virgins are better than his ugly wife (which has been abroad for nearly 2 years now).

Its not his parents' fault. If you had 50 children of your own it would be difficult for you as well to know about the whereabouts of each and everyone them.

They grow up in the streets from age one, and whenever they hear about an incident with the army, all the kids flood into that area. They just look for trouble. Vegetables or not... one thing is sure: a human being capable of thinking does not go to a place where there is trouble, even if he could make a dime by selling one of the tomatos that grow there.

In all the videos I saw (of his father) they all seemed very happy.

I don't know about you, but if I lost my son/father/brother/wife/etc I'd be quite sad, regardless of the circumstances.

And not only is this guy innocent, but they're all happy about his death. How surprising... especially in a Moderate Democratic country like Egypt...

They kill dozens of their own people everyday for idiotic things like stealing someone's camel, or if they found out the woman they married wasn't a virgin...

It's not like the IDF didn't operate with undercover units in the Gaza Strip. The thing is that several different SF units were used for that, but none of them had the Gaza Strip as its main speciality. In these sort of operations it's important that the combatants know the area well, because sometimes things don't go out as planned.

Anyways, a new unit operating only in the Gaza Strip will not only have more experience in that area (and thus improve its chances of success), but will free the other units to concentrating on the West Bank.

This does not mean the Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip will intensify, the IDF didn't wake up today after 2 years of Intifada and say: "Hey, we need to operate in the Gaza Strip as well". Hope you understand this.

What a sick joke, there aren't many nations in the world capable of such disgust, but the Palis surely are one of them. In Jenin they sent out two 8-year-olds to detonate themselves on IDF soldiers, the two died without causing casualties. I wish the IDF will start punishing them from the air, otherwise its useless. What King Hussain of Jordan did in September 1970 was the only solution with such people: kill 7,000 of them in a week... and the problem is solved. These people only understand force. Nothing else will convince them not to kill innocent Israeli civilians.
Arafat certainly formed an empire of terror since the Oslo agreements...
