After hearing yesterday that Governor Bush would be appearing locally today at noon, I made arrangements to be downtown bright and early to secure a ticket for the rally. According to the crawler on CNN Headline News, K-Mart's profits for the first quarter of year 2000 are DOWN roughly 60 PER CENT from the first quarter of 1999! This represents a DROP from 56 million to 22 million! I REALLY hope this was due to American gun owners turning their back on K-Mart for using gun-grabber Rosie O'Donnell as their spokesblimp.

Oliver North interviewed a representative of the Second Amendment Sisters during the first hour of his nationally-syndicated show today. He has continued to promote the Armed Informed Mother's March for the balance of his show, and several callers have promoted the fact that there will be SAS marches to counter-balance the Million Moron Marches being held in various American cities. Inspired by "Captain America's" wonderful "mobile billboards" and ChaseR's excellent promotional ideas, I visited my local sign shop this morning. I was inquiring as to the cost of designing a magnetic sign for the sides of my car that I could use to promote Free Republic, in a manner similar to Captain America, albeit on a smaller scale. On Oliver North's show today, the topic of the destiny of John McCain's supporters was being discussed. At the top of the second hour, North was having a discussion with a Republican strategist by the name of Peter Roth(?). Mr. Roth postulated that the outcome of all the in-fighting between Bush and McCain was of no relevance, because McCain would wind up being the running mate of George Bush. North, obviously surprised, asked Mr. Roth if he really believed that the Republican ticket would be Bush/McCain. Roth's reply? BANK ON IT!
