I don't know if any of you have seen the pictures of the destroyed GM plant here in OKC. Lots of the fact that no one was injured belongs to safety and secrity for all those drills we had to do. But after seeing the DAMAGE done by that tornado to the GM paint shop. Torn Roof sections, wall sections, entire floor sections removed, a little thanks to the one God should be made as well. These are a good group of people, I hope they are allowed to rebuild the place.

This will be a trying time Well after a warning I got axed, upon checking the paperwork I found that they used the fact that I "Surfed" a site called Free Republic.Com. While other workers use CNN, MSNBC, all sorts of financial sites, for their daily news, using Free Republic can get you terminated. Heck of a world isn't it.

From Democrat to Republican Vicky Wilcher Several months ago, I changed my political party affiliation from Democrat to Republican. I did so for many reasons. However, there are two primary ones that led to my switch. As a black American, I discovered after extensive research that there are, and since the creation of the Republican Party have been, fundamental principles and approaches to satisfying the needs of the people that are directly in line with my beliefs and that can, I am certain, benefit my community. I do not believe that it is good for the black American community, the ...

House Democratic Leader Opposes Electoral College 11/12/00 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Electoral College, the body at the center of the current U.S. political crisis, should be abolished and replaced by a system that uses the national popular vote alone to elect a president, House Democratic leader Richard Gephardt said on Sunday. ``I think we ought to get rid of the Electoral College,'' Gephardt said on ABC's ``This Week.'' He said the winner of the vote nationwide should become president. Under the current system, a candidate could win the national popular vote but lose the election because he or she had ...

IT'S IN THE BOOKS: IT'S FACTUAL Back in 1969 a group of Black Panthers decided that a fellow black panther named Alex Rackley needed to die. Rackley was suspected of disloyalty. Rackley was first tied to a chair. Once safely immobilized his friends tortured him for hours by, among other things, pouring boiling water on him. When they got tired of torturing Rackley, Black Panther member, Warren Kimbo, took Rackley outside and put a bullet in his head. Rackley's body was later found floating in a river about 25 miles north of New Haven, Conn. Perhaps at this point you're ...

XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX WED SEPT 20, 2000 22:04:48 ET XXXXX CAMPAIGN BOMBSHELL: GORE CONTRIBUTORS STAYED OVERNIGHT AT WHITE HOUSE **Exclusive** Campaign contributors to Al Gore’s presidential run have stayed overnight at the White House, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. The development is at the root of a White House delay in releasing a list of overnights awarded to contributors of Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Senate campaign. "It’s an overlap!" a well-placed source insisted late Wednesday from Washington. "Most of the first lady’s supporters have also contributed to the vice president -- that does not, in any way shape or form, ...

Plans to fine residents for parking violations are put on hold. City officials are backing away -- for now -- from plans to cite residents of a west Tulsa neighborhood for illegally parked vehicles. The city agreed to drop a July 7 deadline for the neighborhood to come into compliance after area residents' complaints were aired in a Tuesday story in the Tulsa World. "For now, we're satisfied," said John McDonald, who lives in the 3700 block of West 43rd Street. "We kind of reached a compromise, basically." McDonald received a notice from the city earlier this month, informing him ...

Bill Clinton Showed last week that, in addition to impeachment and lawlessness, he will be remembered for redefining the word "shameless". At a news conference with White House reporters the president said he was "appalled as the next person" to discover his 1996 re-election campaign accepted illegal contributions. "I was outraged when I found the the system for checking the backgrounds of contributors had been dismantled without my approval," he said. Thats a bit rich considering the parade of visitors into the Oval Office and Lincoln bedroom, allegations of Chinese influence and the rest. It's familiar pose: assume the role ...

A Republican plan to recover unused state welfare funds likely won't survive, observers predict. WASHINGTON -- A House Republican leadership plan that could cost Oklahoma $54 million in unspent welfare funds appeared all but dead Monday following a pledge by U.S. Sen. Don Nickles, R-Okla., to oppose it. Clearly still in the preliminary stage, the GOP proposal to take back some $6 billion that the 50 states have not had to spend on temporary aid to needy families has blindsided a number of state governors and was a hot topic of conversation at the National Governors' Association meeting in St. ...
