BTW-The scriptures tells us why bad things happen to "good" people. Amos 4 tells us that God brings calamity on us to draw us to Him. We need to get out of the idea that we are "good".
I agree. The whole "but he was good" thinking only leads to a works based theology that diminishes Jesus's self sacrifice for us. You know, this is where we start getting into the deep water and especially for a sincere non-believer it's a tough process to understand. At first it seems so unfair and GOD is supposed to be fair to our way of thinking in this current culture.
