Hi Everyone: I used to be a pretty active poster, but haven't had time in quite awhile because of other recent issues. I hope Jim, the mods and you all will indulge me in this tribute to the veterans of WWII as we celebrate the 4th of July. Over 2,000 WWII veterans are passing every day, and we need to thank them. Sorry for vanity, but I thought non-Californians might be interested in our ballot. I'm reading mine now and have just poured a vodka and cranberry after perusing it. You already know that we used 'Californiabet' to list 135 candidates, right? (We couldn't give one letter more 'preference' over another, so we didn't do the logical alphabetical listing) - I kid you not!! But wait, there's more. They don't even alphabetize the candidates WITHIN the Californiabet listings - they weight the SUB-letters, too to make it more fun to find your person! Sorry for vanity - but I am an election inspector for the polls in California on October 7th for the recall(don't think there's a prayer the court can overturn the date since voting has started, election officials and poll sites picked, etc.). Sorry for the vanity, but I can't stand one more minute of this case on Fox, and I've told them so via phone and email. Now we must endure the LAWYERS fighting over their turf, which has NOTHING to do with this overworked case; now that we've exhausted 16 weeks of speculation, we're into just total egos. Anyone else up to the gills with this?

Forgive the vanity, but I have had endless enjoyment from the 'recommendations' regarding Hillary's book on Amazon.com. Just wanted you to know that after surfing MANY book reviews earlier today to see if this is standard, and their 'detailed information', hers seems to be the only one who questions each recommendation with a button (which defaults to 'NO') as to whether 'is this recommendation appropriate'? I laughed all day, because they turned this feature on, and then turned it off. Don't know if it's still on.

Sorry for the vanity and I'm kind of new, but I felt this was important. Did anyone notice that Brigadier General Brooks, who was chided by the Press yesterday for not having 'the top military commentators' present to answer their questions literally took a 'back seat' this morning in the briefing to someone (sorry, no coffee so I didn't catch the name or rank) who addressed the questions? I think this is a ridiculous cave-in if that's what it was. Where's the 'racism' charge now from the Left??
