  • Why does replacing food stamps with food so anger liberals?

President Trump has proposed replacing some food stamp grants with actual food. This has curiously enraged liberals, who you would think would be delighted to see "hungry" people getting food.
  • Hir Majesty Mix Bressack, the New American Royalty

There is a longstanding but probably apocryphal story about the time a rash equerry told an off-color joke in the presence of Queen Victoria of England. She drew herself up and invoking the royal lingual prerogative said in a chilly tone, “We are not amused.” Read more: http://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2017/09/hir_majesty_mix_bressack_the_new_american_royalty.html#ixzz4uAcWq2Gy Follow us: @AmericanThinker on Twitter | AmericanThinker on Facebook

I'm going to accompany my beloved wife to St. Paul to attend a science fiction/fantasy convention July 20-23. My first impression is that Diversicon will be overrun with "fluffy bunnies", and other libtards. Therefore, while she is attending panel discussions about "making your monsters relatable", and other such drivel, I would love to meet up with local freepers for beer and cigars.
  • Vox On Proper Planning And Making Good Choices When Caught In A Riot

This re-post of a recent Vox post goes along with the theme from my post of yesterday. Trying to get yourself involved in a riot when you don’t have to is nuts. Making good decisions on situation avoidance is the “preventative maintenance” version of “fixing something that is broken”, and should be exercised when possible.

Good morning Freepers, It's been a long morning already at 4:25 am. My 83 year old mother called at 3:00 for assistance as she had fallen and couldn't get up. She's not physically hurt, she was just weak and woozy. But this stubbornly independent Scotch-Irish lady has finally been convinced that it is time to check out the local Assisted Living facilities. When I want the inside skinny on something, I usually research it myself; and I will. However, ignoring the marvelous resource the Freepers in the Houston area and around the country represent would be foolish, so here is...

For those of you that do not know me, my name is Paul Geraci. I am a member of Hope Episcopal Church, the succesor church to St Michael's and Incarnation Episcopal Churches. I began attending St Michael’s Episcopal Church in February 2005. A bit of background is in order. I am a cradle Episcopalian, baptized and confirmed at Trinity Episcopal Church in Houston, who in 1970, at the age of 15 left the Episcopal Church and spent the following 35 years seeking answers. At times during this journey my professed beliefs have varied from atheist to agnostic to nominal Roman...

Fellow Freepers, I need your help to find an item I have seen online frequently, have deleted from my inbox several times and have heard references to in many venues. Now I need this item to post on another private group list to counter the bubbleheaded comments of our most liberal member. She went berserk online after a simple question about whether singling out people who match a set of criteria is profiling. Here is an excerpt from her reply: "Yes This is profiling And i'm really confused with how people can make these generalizations about a religion, and still...
