The Nation’s justice correspondent Elie Mystal said Friday on the”We’ve Got Issues” podcast that the United States Constitution is “trash” written by the “captains of the slaving industry.” The discussion about the Constitution starts at the 25:28 timestamp. Discussing Mystal’s new book “Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy’s Guide to the Constitution,” host Joshua Holland said, “You write that the Constitution is a document designed to create a society of enduring white male dominance. You criticized it for being hastily edited. Elie, I’ve seen a lot of arguments about how the Constitution has been used in political cudgel, or...

Officers with fewer than 18 years of federal active service will have their screening process done by OSB, and those with more than 18 years of service will see the E-SERB, according to the Army Times. “The Army’s drawdown plan is a balanced approach while maintaining

FORT HUACHUCA — If some Army captains had their say, senior military officers would not be put in the position of having to testify before congressional committees, as Gen. David Petraeus did Monday and Tuesday before the House of Representatives and the Senate. After watching the general, commander of the Multi-National Force-Iraq, and U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan C. Crocker testify before the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday, the consensus of the 16 captains attending the career course at the Intelligence Center at this Southern Arizona Army post was that the senators were talking and not wanting to...

n Eagan man's conservative blog has become the talk of Canada, where a publication ban left many people hungry for news of a government scandal. Edward Morrissey, 42, began posting allegations of corruption in the Canadian Liberal Party late Saturday on his Captain's Quarters blog, a web log, which he runs as a hobby. It defies a ban, instituted by a federal judge, Justice John Gomery, that severely limits what Canadians can publish about the investigation into allegations of money laundering and kickbacks in a government program from the 1990s. The scandal dominated national politics for a year and led...
