Even Andrew Cuomo’s beloved 90-year-old mom Matilda has been canceled by her disgraced son’s behavior, sources told The Post. State officials removed the matriarch’s name from the Web site of a mentoring program she founded and oversaw — after her ex-gubernatorial son’s humiliating departure from office over sex-harassment claims last year, sources said. “It’s a sad day when politics has gotten so ugly that it would come down to removing the name of 90-year-old former First Lady Matilda Cuomo,” raged a disgusted source close to the Cuomo family.

Mayor Bill de Blasio sprang a COVID-19 vaccine mandate on all private businesses in New York City on Monday — drawing immediate rebuke from trade groups, New York office workers and some fellow elected officials who said the backbone of the Big Apple was “blindsided” by the stunning move. De Blasio, whose mayoralty ends at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, labeled making vaccines compulsory for private businesses a “pre-emptive strike” against an expected surge in COVID infections this winter amid the emergence of the Omicron variant. ... CNN anchor Chris Cuomo did some wreath shopping after trashing Christmas in a Thanksgiving rant about holidays and cancel culture pushed by “woke folks.” Cuomo, spotted Thursday loading some wreaths into his car’s trunk in Amagansett, had said earlier on his Sirius radio podcast that Thanksgiving was his favorite holiday, though he fumed that “woke people” are ruining it for him — and that Dec. 25 isn’t one of his faves.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has rebuffed requests to meet with New York’s prominent Jewish leaders. The heads of both the Jewish Community Relations Council and the New York Board of Rabbis said they’ve sought sit-downs with the first-term “Democratic socialist” congresswoman — to no avail. “I requested a meeting with her and it has not come to fruition,” JCRC executive director Michael Miller told The Post. “A meeting has been requested on more than one occasion. Disgraced former state Sen. Hiram Monserrate won’t take no for an answer. The felon is running for office again — this time for a Democratic district leader’s post in East Elmhurst, Queens, the lowest rung on the ladder. Monserrate lost a comeback bid for a City Council seat last year when he was defeated by Francisco Moya. But he still received 44 percent of the vote in that contest and retains a loyal following on his East Elmhurst-Corona turf.

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has to worry about a steep drop-off of the black vote that could imperil her chances of winning the White House in November, an analysis had found. The number of African-Americans who voted in Tuesday’s primaries plummeted by an estimated 40 percent in Ohio, 38 percent in Florida and 34 percent in North Carolina compared with the 2008 Democratic primary when Barack Obama was on the ballot, reported the advocacy group Black Votes Matter. Record numbers of African-American voters flocked to the polls to elect and re-elect America’s first black president. Analysts expected some...
