Anti-racist protesters staging non-violent demonstrations in Charlottesville, Virginia, Saturday said they were aggravated and perplexed by the heightened police presence that involved dozens of law enforcement officers in riot gear. The nearly 200 protesters were gathered to march against white supremacy almost one year after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville turned violent, resulting in the death of local resident, Heather Heyer. On Saturday, hundreds of police officers surrounded Charlottesville's downtown area throughout the day in order to preclude any violent outbursts, according to multiple reports. Though there were no white nationalist events scheduled, many feared a repeat of last...

(Led by Obama ‘Occupy’ Agitator Jason Kessler) President Trump denounced all forms of racism and violence in a tweet Saturday morning, specifically mentioning the Charlottesville riots that occurred one year ago. The tweet comes ahead of a “Unite The Right” rally that is scheduled for this weekend in Washington, D.C. The riots in Charlottesville a year ago resulted in senseless death and division. We must come together as a nation. I condemn all types of racism and acts of violence. Peace to ALL Americans! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 11, 2018 “The riots in Charlottesville a year ago resulted...

Police are blocking off streets and mobilizing hundreds of officers for the anniversary of a deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, alarming activists who plan to rally against the hatred and bloodshed that shocked the nation last summer. --SNIP-- Lisa Woolfork, a University of Virginia professor and Black Lives Matter Charlottesville organizer, said police are mounting a "huge, overwhelming show of force to compensate for last year's inaction." "Last year, I was afraid of the Nazis. This year, I'm afraid of the police," Woolfork said. "This is not making anyone that I know feel safe."

"About five or six years ago, some folks in the Virginia legislature got a law passed that says you can't ban firearms when you're in a state of emergency and that's what the problem is right now,” Snook said. “So if you want to blame someone, blame the Virginia legislature."

So the white nationalists are coming back to Charlottesville, and once again we’re going to hear the standard media narrative that these bigots are “on the right.” Leave aside that Jason Kessler, the organizer of the original Charlottesville rally, was an Obama activist and an Occupy Wall Street guy. Never mind that Richard Spencer, the poster boy of white supremacy, reveals in a detailed interview in my new movie that he’s a progressive who supports nationalized health care and expanded centralized state, and whose favorite presidents are all Democrats. We need to probe deeper to understand who these white nationalists...

President Trump on Saturday tweeted that he condemns "all types of racism and acts of violence" ahead of the one-year anniversary of the deadly "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Va. Trump has been under intense pressure to condemn last year's violence and speak out against white supremacists organizing an anniversary rally set to take place on Sunday. "The riots in Charlottesville a year ago resulted in senseless death and division," he tweeted. "We must come together as a nation. I condemn all types of racism and acts of violence. Peace to ALL Americans!" The president faced significant criticism over...

Law enforcement and city officials are preparing for protesters and counter-protesters to descend on Washington, DC, this weekend. According to the shutitdowndc.org website, the Antifa side of the equation has purposes far beyond responding to the Unite the Right 2 demonstration set to take place on the Charlottesville, Va. rally anniversary on Sunday at Lafayette Park across from the White House. The National Park Service has issued a permit to Jason Kessler for his Unite the Right 2 rally from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the park and its website has a list of instructions, including warning people not to...

Airbnb warned participants heading to Washington, D.C., to participate in this weekend's white nationalist “Unite the Right” rally that the company may cancel their reservations and remove their accounts if they are caught violating Airbnb's policies. The company said in a statement to ABC News that it will take “appropriate action” if it identifies users who are “pursuing behavior on the Airbnb platform that would be antithetical to the Airbnb Community Commitment.” Airbnb says all of its users are required to agree to its Community Commitment, which includes treating "everyone in the Airbnb community — regardless of their race, religion,...

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency Wednesday for Charlottesville, Virginia, in preparation for the one-year anniversary of last year’s deadly white nationalist Unite the Right rally that left three dead and dozens injured. The state of emergency will last from Wednesday through the rally's anniversary Sunday. Northam said because of anniversary events, rallies, and protests planned in Charlottesville and in nearby Washington, D.C., he ordered a state of emergency to "prepare and coordinate our response to ensure the protection of residents’ lives, property, and Constitutional rights.”

Officials in Portland, Ore., are worried the far-right rally planned for this weekend could turn into “another Charlottesville.” Fears of violent protests in the area are rising ahead of the rally scheduled on Saturday by Patriot Prayer, a conservative group founded by far-right Senate candidate Joey Gibson. In a “Hate Watch” report, the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) warned “threats of violence” are looming over the upcoming rally, which it suggested could be “another Charlottesville.” The report comes days after Gibson said in a Facebook post last week that the “Freedom March” rally would be held at a location that...

The anniversary of the August 12, 2017 Charlottesville protest is coming up. It was on this day, so the story goes, that the left confronted the right over the right’s support for a statue of civil war general Robert E. Lee and a woman was killed by a white nationalist driving his car into a crowd of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other protestors. Because applications by “Unite the Right” for a return to Charlottesville were turned down, the protest this year is scheduled for Lafayette Park, across the street from the White House in Washington. The ANSWER coalition, representing...

The Washington, D.C., chapter of Black Lives Matter is planning to stage a counter-protest against the "White Civil Rights" rally scheduled to take place near the White House next month. The organizer of last year's deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., received a permit in July to host a similar rally on Aug. 12 in the nation's capital. The Black Lives Matter activists told a local Fox affiliate that they are disappointed the National Park Service approved a permit for the white nationalist protest. Black Lives Matter and Shut It Down DC are calling on "all anti-fascists and people...

The city councilors who voted for the removal of Charlottesville's two Confederate monuments may be liable for damages and legal fees if the court ultimately rules in favor of the plaintiffs in the case, according to a written opinion signed Thursday by Charlottesville Circuit Judge Richard E. Moore. In a news release, The Monument Fund, a group involved in the lawsuit against the city, announced that the court had sent the parties a letter explaining its opinion on whether the councilors are entitled to immunity. “There may still be some questions, even if defendants are not immune, as to what...

NextGen America, the brainchild of billionaire leftist donor Tom Steyer, launched a Mother's Day ad against Republicans, warning mothers against the party as if it were a hateful, destructive pathology preying upon their children. At the climax of the ad, a distressed mother refers to the white nationalist rioters in Charlottesville, Va., last year as her son's "college buddies." "I started noticing some issues with him, maybe in middle school," the mother begins. "The stealing started out small, a few dollars here and there. Not from me, oddly enough, but from less fortunate kids." "He was never afraid to talk...

The city put up the sheeting in the days after a deadly far-right rally last August which left a counter-protester and two police officers dead. The city had argued the "shrouds" were meant to honour those killed and injured, but the judge found they interfered with park tourism. The judge also allowed a lawsuit to preserve the statues to move forward. Judge Richard Moore ruled on Tuesday that the black plastic sheeting over the monuments to Robert E Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson must be removed in the next 15 days.

The City of Charlottesville will soon be ordered to remove the black tarps currently covering two Confederate statues downtown. Reading from an official court letter Tuesday afternoon, Charlottesville Circuit Court Judge Richard Moore said he thinks the shrouds on the statues of Gens. Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson are a violation of a state code protecting the removal or disturbance of war memorials. Moore said the city will have 15 days to remove the tarps after an official order has been signed.
  • What really happened in Charlottesville? (vanity)

I've tried to look into the truth behind "Charlottesville," the narrative, on what happened there, and of course I came across some reports of people being bused in, and protesters on both sides being seen coming off the same buses, and I've also heard the Dem-MSM accounts, but I've yet to come across an article that explains from the evidence what really happened. Knowing first-hand how the media incessantly lies to mislead the public, and that the rank-and-file left are fine with that, I don't at all trust MSM accounts. I just keep looking around for accounts from all the...
