  • Witness: Ventura Said SEALs Deserved To Lose Men In Iraq

Defense lawyers in the Jesse Ventura defamation case rolled out a parade of witnesses Wednesday claiming Ventura got punched out in a California bar. That’s the claim in the best-selling war memoir “American Sniper” by the deceased author Chris Kyle. It’s about to be made into a movie. But the bar fight is a claim Ventura says never happened. For the last two days, Navy SEALs have claimed in court that they saw one part or another of the bar fight. Ventura, described in the book as “scruff face,” is accused of shooting off his mouth about the war and...

Tuesday’s witnesses at Jesse Ventura’s defamation trial stitched together a scene a California bar that ended with the former governor lying on his back. The latest witness in the case being heard in U.S. District Court in St. Paul, former SEAL Lt. Cmdr. Andrew Paul, said he saw a commotion, then saw Ventura get up from the patio floor and yell that he was going to kill Chris Kyle. Afterward, Paul said, “Chris told me, ‘Jesse was running his mouth and I punched him.’ ”

Laura deShazo of Salt Lake City testified Monday she was at the pub in Coronado California, the night when slain "American Sniper" author Chris Kyle said he punched a man he called "Scruff Face." Kyle later identified the man as Ventura. DeShazo said she was in the bar to attend the wake for a friend of Kyle's. While there, she, her sister and her brother's girlfriend poses for a picture with Ventura.

After a public backlash, former presidential candidate Ron Paul used his Facebook page to clarify controversial comments he made Monday about the Navy SEAL who was killed at a Texas gun range over the weekend. Paul wrote: “Chris Kyle’s death seems to confirm that ‘he who lives by the sword dies by the sword.’ Paul backtracked some and offered a clarification on his Facebook page. He wrote: "As a veteran, I certainly recognize that this weekend's violence and killing of Chris Kyle were a tragic and sad event. My condolences and prayers go out to Mr. Kyle’s family. Ronald Ernest Paul, the nation's last best hope for internet gambling and the gold standard, responded to the murder of a Navy SEAL by saying, "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword." But the question is whose sword is it? To the anti-war movement, all conflicts between the free world and the world of slaves are reduced to a pithy formula of moral equivalence. America lifted the sword and has gone on swinging it. It never puts the sword down and therefore it dies by it. Chris Kyle becomes a metaphor for the great beast of war,...

It has been said that “he who lives by the sword shall die by the sword.” And in the case of Eliot Spitzer this couldn’t be more true. In his case it’s the political sword, as his enemies rejoice in his downfall. Most people, it seems, believe he got exactly what he deserved. The illegal tools of the state brought Spitzer down, but think of all the harm done by Spitzer in using the same tools against so many other innocent people. He practiced what could be termed “economic McCarthyism,” using illegitimate government power to build his political career on...

Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas), he of the quixotic GOP presidential campaign and unique policy positions, is never one to be shy about his opinions. Take the case of fallen New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer (D), whose political career fell apart this week after his liaisons with high-priced call girls became public. Spitzer resigned his office effective Monday. Most politicians from both sides of the aisle publicly (at least) offered condolences for Spitzer and his poor family, including his three daughters, but didn't — of course — defend Spitzer's atrocious behavior. But for Paul, Spitzer's downfall at the hands of a...

A Texas widow wants Jesse Ventura's defamation and libel case involving her late husband moved from Minnesota to the Lone Star State. Attorneys for Taya Kyle -- whose husband, Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, was shot and killed in February -- argue in a motion filed Monday that forcing the widowed mother of two to spend weeks in Minnesota to defend her husband's veracity in court is too much of a burden. "Bringing my children with me to Minnesota for trial isn't a good option," Taya Kyle wrote in a declaration accompanying her request. "I don't know who would take...

While we here at RightWingPatriot.com normally give out the dubious honor of Jerk of the Week to some self-serving progressive liberal, this week's honoree is so foul and loathsome that we've upped him to Jerk of the Month. Honestly, I could safely label this deranged individual as Jerk of the Year, but I like to keep my option open until the end of 2013. The deadliest sniper in U.S. history performed near miracles on the battlefield. Then he had to come home. There’s a story about Chris Kyle: on a cold January morning in 2010, he pulled into a gas station somewhere along Highway 67, south of Dallas. He was driving his supercharged black Ford F350 outfitted with black rims and oversize knobby mudding tires. Kyle had replaced the Ford logo on the grill with a small chrome skull, similar to the Punisher emblem from the Marvel Comics series, and added a riot-ready aftermarket grill guard bearing the words ROAD ARMOR. He had just...

Today, our friends at Twitchy reported that Lee Judge, a left-wing political cartoonist, illustrated a depraved caricature depicting the grave of ex-sniper, and Navy SEAL, Chris Kyle – with the caption “if only there had been a good guy around.”  This is wholly insensitive, and a craven attempt to smear an American hero who was tragically slain by a fellow veteran whom he was helping cope with PTSD.  But this is hardly the first time Judge has inked a cartoon that transgresses the bounds of decency in service of a left-wing political argument. For example, when the NRA first proposed...

Political cartoonist Lee Judge took an abhorrent cheap shot at Second Amendment supporters recently, by using the murder of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle as a means to belittle their argument. Kyle is the decorated American sniper that was tragically murdered earlier in the month by an Iraq war veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Kyle’s friend, Chad Littlefield was also murdered that day. As is typical of gun control fanatics, Judge completely ignores the mental health issue involved in the killing, and instead mocks Kyle’s inability to stop the shooting. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and many friends of former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle tonight. Todd and I first met Chris in Pella, Iowa, when he helped out with security for the premiere of the film “The Undefeated.” And later we became friends with Chris when he was on “Stars Earn Stripes” with Todd. Chris was a wonderful man, a good friend, and a true American hero who loved our country and served honorably. He was loved and admired by so many, and he will never be forgotten.
