Mummy’s amazing American maize The far-reaching influence of Spanish and Portuguese colonisers appears not to have extended to South American agriculture, scientists studying Andean mummies up to 1,400 years old have found. US plans for Moon base US space agency Nasa says it is planning to start work on a base on the Moon after astronauts begin flying back there in 2020.
