Back in 2009 the White House held a news conference announcing their new plans for taking action against the Mexican drug cartels. President Obama's spokesman lays out the plan ordered by President Obama and Attorney General Holder. Two questions arise rather quickly: 1) How can they now claim not to have had any idea about this badly bungled operation until it was made public following the Brian Terry murder? 2) Why are Darrell Issa and the rest of the GOP Congress allowing this slow-waltz of pathalogical liars to parade before these hearings when they have access to the same vidoe...

On Thursday, Iowa Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley ripped President Barack Obama for his assertion of the executive privilege to keep hiding Operation Fast and Furious documents from Congress. Grassley said the White House must provide a “privilege log” detailing what documents Obama is exercising his power over, and what his legal argument for doing so is. (Snip) “The attorney general repeatedly claimed that the Justice Department was making an ‘extraordinary offer’ Tuesday night,” Grassley continued. “The only thing extraordinary is that the attorney general offered a promise to produce documents one day and then asked the president to claim executive

"Upon a close inspection of the photo Savannah Guthrie took of Obama's long form Birth Certificate, I've found that the document states that Obama was born in "Honolulu, Huwaii." This could be one reason why Obama and the State of Hawaii refused to allow the public to see this document. Obama's lawyers have argued this would be too much of an embarassment for him to produce this document in Court."

Ah, such a tease! I can’t say I have much faith that, the way things stand right now, this bill will make it through untouched, but it’s beautiful to think about nonetheless.A House committee has managed to advance a 2013 spending bill that would impose deep cuts and restrictions on the Environmental Protection Agency. The bill cuts EPA by $1.4 billion, about 17 percent, compared to current funding. The GOP points out that this brings the EPA below fiscal 1998 funding.House Appropriations Committee Chairman Hal Rogers (R-Ky.), who hails from coal country, said he is especially proud of the measure,...

There is a breathless article in today's Washington Post by Lori Montgomery detailing a study by JEC Democrat staff of the House GOP budget's tax reform plan. The headline of the report is that the tax plan, if implemented, would be a net tax hike for middle and upper-middle income households, and a giant tax cut for high income households. The only problem is that the analysis contains a fatal flaw that Lori Montgomery should have seen. The fact that she did not is troubling, to say the least. The House GOP budget empowers the Ways and Means Committee to...

Savannah Guthrie posted two pictures she took of Obama's long form Birth Certificate, but, it can be clearly seen that she photographed two different documents.

When it comes to the government's Fast and Furious gun smuggling operation, Attorney General Eric Holder is running out of places to hide. But now he has President Barack Obama aiding and abetting his efforts to keep the truth about the program from both Congress and the American people. Facing a House committee vote today on whether he is in contempt of Congress for not turning over requested documents, the desperate Mr. Holder sent a letter to the White House today requesting that the president, " assert executive privilege over the identified documents." And Mr. Obama has complied.

Minimum wage has been a topic of debate ever since the creation of the Fair Labor Standards Act in 1938. Just this month, U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson, Jr. of Illinois has attempted to once again bring the discussion into a modern context. Jackson introduced a bill to Congress that calls for an immediate raise of the federal minimum wage up to $10 from its current standing of $7.25, according to the New York Times. This may seem like an extreme jump, but this increase was proposed in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. In fact, President Obama stated back...

On Friday, President Obama once again displayed his utter contempt for Congress and the rule of law by unilaterally announcing that his administration would no longer deport up to 800,000 illegal immigrants who arrived in this country at a young age.

Although the Hawaii Department of Health claimed they sent Obama two certified copies of his "original Certificate of Live Birth", three different versions of Obama's long form Birth Certificate have been released to the public and all three are different.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Following his recent remarks endorsing a hypothetical 10-1 promised-spending-cuts-to-tax-hikes deal, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has been cheered by left-of-center editorial pages across the land as well as Democrat elected officials including Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. Meanwhile, Bush’s tax increase position has been rebuked by, among others, Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and the Wall Street Journal editorial board. RUBIO: On Wednesday, BloombergBusinessweek reported: Florida Senator Marco Rubio said he wouldn’t accept revenue increases as part of a deficit deal that also cut spending to prevent a U.S. fiscal crisis, saying it’s a “different...

Perfect example of how screwed up things are in this country; how up is down and backwards: News story on Fox yesterday about how the EPA is using drones to spy on farmers in Nebraska, Iowa and two other bordering states. Congress, went the report, is seeking to pass a law prohibiting the EPA from doing this. Made me think: wait just a minute.... Isn't Congress supposed to be the premier law-making body in this country, and isn't the EPA merely an agency of government? Then all that should be needed is a phone call from someone in Congress to...

Washington, DC, June 14, 2012: Five influential Members of Congress called yesterday for the inspectors general (IGs) of government departments with national security responsibilities to investigate whether their agencies are being subjected to influence operations mounted as part of what the Muslim Brotherhood calls its “civilization jihad.” This initiative holds out hope that a grave, and largely unremarked, threat may thus be recognized and thwarted in time. The authors of letters sent to the IGs for the Departments of State, Justice, Defense and Homeland Security and theOffice of the Director of National Intelligence are: Rep. Michele Bachman, a member of...

President Obama returned Friday to a trusted tactic — satisfying his political allies by not doing something. Conservatives were angry when Janet Napolitano announced the administration would stop deporting certain undocumented immigrants but they should have seen it coming. On issue after issue - gay rights, drug enforcement, Internet gambling, school achievement standards - the administration has chosen to achieve its goals by a method best described as passive-aggressive. Rather than pushing new laws through a divided Congress to enact his agenda, Obama is relying on federal agencies to ignore, or at least not defend, laws that some of his...

In a recent interview with The Guardian, EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, stated that it is not her policies that are driving coal-fired power plants out of business, but rather organic changes in the American electricity market. Scapegoating natural gas, Jackson claims that low natural-gas prices and booming gas production are depressing coal consumption. But what Jackson fails to mention is that explicitly due to the EPA’s stringent regulations that some coal production is now non-econommical. The price coal-fired power plants would have to pay to comply with new, burdensome regulations is so expensive, that many coal mines are forced to...

Two days after losing the special election for Gabrielle Giffords's old House seat, Republican Jesse Kelly has decided to forego a run for Arizona's new 2nd Congressional District this fall. "Looking at the results from Tuesday, we have decided to withdraw from the race for Congress in AZ-02 and to seek other opportunities," Kelly said in a statement Thursday."I will forever be thankful to our generous supporters and volunteers." Kelly's withdrawal vaults Air Force veteran Martha McSally to front-runner status for the GOP nomination in the new district. McSally finished second behind Kelly in the special Republican primary earlier this...

Testifying in front of the Senate Finance Committee on tax and energy issues, Harvard’s Dr. Dale Jorgenson proposed a tax increase on fossil fuels equivalent to a 1.5 percent increase in federal revenues as a percent of GDP. Chairman Baucus asked if the increase is a “cousin” to a carbon tax and Dr. Jorgenson replied “a kissing cousin.” Defending the tax increase as a way to reduce consumption of carbon based fuels; Dr. Jorgenson claimed such a tax would be most effective if heavily weighted towards coal—this sounds like a carbon tax to us. A carbon tax harms American industries...

As another hearing is scheduled for this Thursday at 10:00am on the Senate floor and we get closer to a June vote on the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), I would like to call out attention on the remaining 20 Republican Senators that have not yet signed the letter to Sen. Reid which would block the passage of this bill. Yes I wrote about this few weeks ago in hopes that RedStaters would help prod their Senators into getting on board to stop this UN agenda. There has been some success since my last diary, probably due to your...
