For years Americans have warned other Americans about the government confiscating their firearms, taking their property rights away under the guise of climate change (agenda 21) and have built secret reeducation prisons around the United States to imprison Americans who do not support this out of control government. Of course these Americans were called “black helicopter conspiracy nuts” and the “tinfoil” crowd just to name a few of the disparaging name calling.

Our Constitution details both duties and discretions to its member states and three branches of government. Duties involve commands that must be obeyed, while the exercise of discretionary power is of course, optional. For instance, Congress has the option to implement enumerated, delegated powers such as those in Article I Section 8. Congress does not have to write statutes involving taxation, commerce, naturalization, post offices & post roads, etc. It may do so as it sees fit. They really are coming for your guns . . . After the Charleston church shootings, President Obama praised Australia's draconian gun laws, which included a mandatory buy-back program, AKA confiscation. On today's Morning Joe, Mika wondered "why" we couldn't institute a similar gun ban in the United States, throwing in support for a database of all gun ownership for good measure. Joe Scarborough was actually obliged to explain to Mika that her gun ban was never going to happen because we have the Second Amendment here. That left Mika grimacing in regret [see the screengrab]. Here's a completely constitutional gun-control measure Congress should consider: Establish a robust national militia, mandating that every gun owner become a member. Failure to register with the militia should result in serious jail time. In the obvious interest of knowing the quantity and quality of arms available to the militia's purposes, all members should be required to inventory all of their personal arms. Failure to do so should also warrant significant jail time.
