For years Americans have warned other Americans about the government confiscating their firearms, taking their property rights away under the guise of climate change (agenda 21) and have built secret reeducation prisons around the United States to imprison Americans who do not support this out of control government. Of course these Americans were called “black helicopter conspiracy nuts” and the “tinfoil” crowd just to name a few of the disparaging name calling.

In the early days of man’s history, tyranny was ideologically crude and built upon openly seizing power and suppression of the people. Not a lot of fancy theories were trotted out to justify it. Men like Akhenaten, Attila, Genghis Khan, Henry VIII, and Cesare Borgia ruled because they were brazen enough to want to rule, strong enough to recruit the needed henchmen, and smart enough to know that most people would let them be dictatorial. But with the coming of modernity (circa 1800 A.D.), tyranny has had to take on a more subtle and sophisticated approach. It now needs to...

The Bakersfield Californian www.bakersfield.com in Kevin McCarthy’s home District observed in a complimentary article certain key issues to bring “renewed luster for the Golden State.” Directly quoted, these are: Water: Improved prospects for legislation that sends more water to farmers and studies new storage sites. Environment: Diminished environmental regulations, increased oil and gas drilling and streamlined timber harvesting. Business: Silicon Valley and California’s commercial space industry have both received his attention in the past. These are certainly issues of state and national importance. Each is highly focused on their effects on the oil and agriculture economy of the San Joaquin...

WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today released the following statement upon the 6th Circuit’s stay on the “Waters of the United States” rule, which allows litigation over the legality of the rule to proceed before implementation:“The 6th Circuit’s order to halt implementation of the EPA’s new ‘Waters of the United States’ rule is a win for all Americans, but especially for farmers, ranchers, and landowners in the state of Texas. Today’s order is also an important step toward curbing the federal government’s relentless intrusion on the states—power grabs that have become standard practice for President Obama’s EPA....

A "Black Lives Matter" leader has issued a dire warning for the United States: the United States needs a new Constitution or else, he warns, "it will be the bullet" for the US. Blake Simons, who wrote an article detailing his ideas, is the Deputy Comms Director of "Afrikan Black Coalition." The name of his piece is "A New Constitution or the Bullet." Simons writes, "Our Black Lives Matter protests have stormed the country, yet cops continue to kill us daily, and the judicial system continues to justify our deaths with acquittals, non-indictments, and light sentences-all in the name of...

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Tuesday reiterated his stance in favor of eminent domain — a view not shared by many in his party.   "Eminent domain, when it comes to jobs, roads, the public good, I think it's a wonderful thing," Trump told Fox News' Bret Baier.    ADVERTISEMENT “You're not taking property. … You're paying a fortune for that property,” he said of the process, adding that homeowners can be paid “four, five, six, ten times” their property’s value.   Trump, a real estate mogul, noted that he’s dealt with eminent domain a lot in building developments...

Of America’s founding architects, Thomas Jefferson is arguably one of the greatest minds and ardent defenders of liberty and the fundamental rights of man. Yet he was wise enough to recognize that he was not immune from the corrupting effects of governing power. Jefferson said, “If once they [the people] become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves … Cherish therefore the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them.” From textbooks to...

Our Constitution details both duties and discretions to its member states and three branches of government. Duties involve commands that must be obeyed, while the exercise of discretionary power is of course, optional. For instance, Congress has the option to implement enumerated, delegated powers such as those in Article I Section 8. Congress does not have to write statutes involving taxation, commerce, naturalization, post offices & post roads, etc. It may do so as it sees fit. These are specific grants of power from We the People, which when used as intended, facilitate the general welfare and blessings of Liberty....
  • Mika: Why Not a Gun Ban Like in Australia?

They really are coming for your guns . . . After the Charleston church shootings, President Obama praised Australia's draconian gun laws, which included a mandatory buy-back program, AKA confiscation. On today's Morning Joe, Mika wondered "why" we couldn't institute a similar gun ban in the United States, throwing in support for a database of all gun ownership for good measure. Joe Scarborough was actually obliged to explain to Mika that her gun ban was never going to happen because we have the Second Amendment here. That left Mika grimacing in regret [see the screengrab]. Here's a completely constitutional gun-control measure Congress should consider: Establish a robust national militia, mandating that every gun owner become a member. Failure to register with the militia should result in serious jail time. In the obvious interest of knowing the quantity and quality of arms available to the militia's purposes, all members should be required to inventory all of their personal arms. Failure to do so should also warrant significant jail time.

Consider that in Republican Ted Cruz, the junior senator from Texas, we have a presidential candidate who during his high school years in Houston was among several students who met twice a week to read the Constitution and the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers and the even more obscure debates on ratification. All of that while also memorizing the entire Constitution in shortened mnemonic form. Thus, in case you didn’t know (and Cruz still does), “TCC NCC PCC PAWN momma WReN” stands for the powers of Congress in Article I, section 8, of the Constitution: “taxes, credit, commerce, naturalization,...

I’ve outsourced my post today to Neo-Neocon and Rudyard Kipling, both of whom, in their own way, have written about black holes: Nature abhors a vacuumFirst, Neo: she wrote an excellent article discussing the enigma that is our magic negro president. The American people, the working people of this country, the 9-5ers with a wife and kid are scared. Business owners just scraping by are demonized by the administration for being too rich and not paying their employees enough. The economy has spent time in a ditch yet Barack keeps telling us everything is fine. The Obama administration is unique, being the first in American history to at once dismiss our culture, the Christian religion and the moral principles upon which the nation was founded. The majority of Americans do not condone Barack Obama bowing and scraping before those whose mores...

As a policeone.com survey revealed, the majority of U.S. police officers support an armed citizenry. Why wouldn’t they? With their hands-on experience dealing with criminals, they know how effective personal arms can be. They don’t live in protected, “green zone” enclaves. They have non-police friends, family and associates. Many if not most have had positive experiences with armed defenders. In short, police and Sheriff Departments are a rich source of natural allies for defenders of American gun rights . . . Police that support the Second Amendment give disarmists nightmares. In theory, all police should support Americans’ gun rights. From...

The Constitution was to be our republican house, our shelter from tyranny. Its four load bearing walls were the three federal branches plus the state governments. This structure in turn was protected from the harsh elements of despotism by a roof composed of ten recognized, God-given and societal rights. Various interior design details in the form of enumerated powers and those prohibited to the states, made for prosperous living to a free people. Since 1913 we have largely failed to maintain our home. What began as seemingly minor alterations to the structure, beginning with the 17th Amendment, rot was introduced...

Ben Carson is being attacked for noting the difference between Islam and other faiths. Islam is a religion that requires a person to violate the US constitution, in order to be even a mild practitioner of that faith. In the performance of his job, a US President has to honor the Christian God Jesus, ahead of the Muslim God Allah, because America is a majority Christian nation. A moderate Muslim may be non-violent, but even he would never commit blasphemy against his God, Allah. An American President is required by law to defend the US pork industry against foreign pork...

Pope Francis chided Americans yesterday for their supposed intolerance and xenophobia, the same thing President Obama does every day, in his historic address to the U.S. Congress. Although Francis toned down his sometimes in-your-face rhetoric for his congressional speech, it was still a politically tone-deaf lecture on America's failings, past and present.

If I wanted to surreptitiously prevent an Article V State Amendments Convention, I would plant a seed in the media that state legislatures must submit to congress, identical or near identical applications that deal with a particular topic. For instance, should ten states apply to balance the national budget, and another ten applied to enact congressional term limits, while another ten sought repeal of the 17th Amendment, I would inform congress and the media that only ten of the required thirty-four (two-thirds) applications had been presented. Obviously, this is an easy sell to congress; there is little reason for congress...

A common post to FR involves the question, “Is America a Christian nation?” It’s a bit vague, but if the question is refined to “Is our form of government based on Biblical principles,” the answer has to be a resounding YES. I base my response largely on my continuing study of Algernon Sidney, a late 17th century English statesman, soldier, author, polemicist. His manuscript, Discourses Concerning Government (published 1698) relied on Scripture to dispute the Divine Right of Kings and absolute government in any form. Without exactly saying so, he argued that republican, free government was the only form that...
