Dashcam footage captured the horrifying moment two police officers drew their guns on a husband and wife after pulling them over while they were rushing to the hospital to give birth. James Reiner was driving his wife Dana to the hospital after her water broke in January 2012 in Hebron, Indiana when they passed a police car that suddenly turned on its lights and pulled them over, despite the fact that they were not speeding. That is when James got out to tell Sgt. Anthony Dandurand that his wife was pregnant and they needed to get to the hospital. He...

And as Sheriff David Clarke said last week, it is Obama himself who started the “War on Police”rhetoric top begin with. Well, today, Obama was in Boston for his Labor Day Speech, with hundreds of dignitaries invited, and police typically greeting the president after the event. Not this year. Because the Boston Police Union decided to show Obama what cops think of him…and BOYCOTTED it…leading Administration officials to send an angry response to the Mayor. From Gateway Pundit via Boston Herald: Jerry Flynn, a Lowell cop on leave while serving as executive director of the New England Police Benevolent Association,...

In the 1960s, Vice President Hubert Humphrey declared that if he had to endure the conditions of the ghetto, he "could lead a pretty good riot" himself, while Nixon ridiculed the Kerner Commission report that blamed the riots on "white racism."Nixon and George Wallace got 57 percent of the vote in 1968. And a strong stand for law and order helped to give the GOP a near quarter-century lock on the presidency. The law-and-order issue is lying there again, waiting to be picked up.

Gangsta Rap’s Grim Legacy for Comptons Everywhere A hit movie about the rap group N.W.A. is a reminder: Glorified thuggery poisoned poor black communities. By Jason L. Riley Aug. 25, 2015 6:39 p.m. ET 242 COMMENTS For two weeks the top box-office draw has been “Straight Outta Compton,” a meandering biopic about the rise and disintegration of the Los Angeles-area rap group N.W.A., or Niggaz With Attitude. N.W.A. helped popularize “gangsta rap” in the late 1980s, and even this hagiography can’t hide the fact that its legacy has endured to the detriment of poor black communities. The most prominent members...

Ramsey on Friday ordered that a uniformed officer be taken off street patrol and ordered his gun taken from him after Facebook videos surfaced showing the officer pressuring a motorist to buy tickets for an upcoming police union fund-raiser. In the videos, Officer Matthew Zagursky tells a driver that if he buys tickets to the fund-raiser he will not tow his vehicle. The officer also uses a homophobic slur while apparently joking with the man at another point. Ramsey said he took action swiftly, after being shown the videos at a morning briefing Friday by his...

As any law enforcement officer knows enemies come in all shapes and sizes. To Florida law enforcement officers one such enemy is the fire ant. Small pesky critter whose bite stings ferociously. While conducting a traffic stop on a busy two-lane road I had asked the driver for their license and registration and then returned to my vehicle to check their credentials. This is when I felt the sudden yet all-too-familiar stings on my ankle and leg. When I looked down I noticed that my foot was entirely engulfed in fire ants. The roadway where I conducted this traffic stop...

A federal lawsuit filed Tuesday by the mother of Sandra Bland, the Illinois woman found hanging in a Texas jail cell last month, contends that Ms. Bland should never have been arrested and that she was later held in dangerous conditions without proper supervision. Encinia, who made the arrest, and two guards at the Waller County Jail, where Ms. Bland died, as defendants, along with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the county.

WETHERSFIELD–A professor at a local community college has been arrested after allegedly claiming an officer racially profiled her, when he didn’t. On May 9, Minati Roychoudhuri, 32, of Storrs, was driving near exit 85 on Route 15 when she was pulled over. She was cited for failure to drive in the established lane. A month later, on June 8, she sent the following letter to the Commissioner of Public Safety:

Working as a deputy sheriff in south Florida during the late 1990s, my agency had just been issued stop-sticks. These sticks were about 3 feet long and had large spikes protruding all the way around. They were meant to be used as a stop-gap measure when a suspect was fleeing in a vehicle. If an officer could get into position, the sticks were to be thrown in front of the tires as the car passed by. The weight of the car would bear down on the spikes, deflating the tires and ideally ending the chase safely. If I said everyone...

Less than 24 hours after a veteran police officer was buried, vandals struck, damaging the eternal flame honoring the fallen officer at a cemetery in New Orleans. The Times-Picayune reports vandals desecrated the grave of New Orleans Police Officer Vernell Brown, Jr. by prying off and destroying the metal vessel housing the gas-powered flame-- the centerpiece of the Louisiana Law Enforcement Officer Memorial. The 17-year veteran of the force was training two recruits when they stopped to...

Exclusive: Ben Kinchlow offers solution to complaints of 'out-of-control cops' What? More stories in the news about “police brutality”? I, for one, am so tired of hearing how cops are out of control. Let me propose a simple solution that will simply and permanently eliminate “police brutality.” This proposal would apply equally to all local, state and federal law enforcement officials. It would immediately and permanently eliminate all traces of racism and allow for all crimes to be reported equally, regardless of perpetrator. This solution would affect almost every American citizen regardless of age, race, creed, financial or religious status....
