The ultra-leftist Southern Poverty Law Center, described by critics as a radical anti-Christian hate group, was recently implicated in a federal terrorism case after a deranged homosexual activist, citing SPLC hate propaganda, tried to massacre employees at a pro-family group's headquarters. Now, the self-styled “civil rights” outfit is stepping up its campaign to indoctrinate your children. The controversial Alabama-based group, widely ridiculed and criticized even by left-wing leaders for shady practices and deception, recently unveiled a new Common Core-aligned “educational” campaign. It is designed to inject even more pro-homosexual, pro-transgender propaganda into school classrooms across America, along with identity politics,...

Richard Schaefer, a 21-year-old man from Orange County, California, has spent years posting pictures of himself dressed up as his favorite female Disney characters to social media. Boasting a massive collection of 40 costumes and 30 wigs, the self-described “Disney addict” says his decision to cosplay — a combination of the words costume and role-play, where a person dresses up as a character from a comic book, video game, or movie — came after people began commenting on how similar his appearance was to that of a woman. “I decided to start cosplaying as princesses because of how androgynous people...

To keep up with the adventures of the Keswani family, visit PEOPLE.com/keswanis. It's been a big year for the transgender community, thanks in large part to Caitlyn Jenner. But not every member of the community is 66: Devina Keswani, the youngest of three children in PEOPLE's new web series, The Keswanis: A Most Modern Family, and a proud Girl Scout, is just 6. "One [of my classmates] hates transgender, and he hates me because I'm transgender," Devina says, adding, "Before that he liked me, but now he hates me. He spits at me and pushes me."

Caitlyn Jenner may have snagged that Vanity Fair cover, but she’s not the only photogenic trans woman making moves and shaking up the game. Despite the ever-present specter of tokenism, openly transgender models have in the past few years forged an important presence in fashion — on top runways, in glossy editorials and even in high-profile campaigns. There’s still a long way to go, but as a toast to progress and Pride month (celebrated internationally in June), here are five barrier-smashing stunners who represent a good start.

New government guidance has LGBT rights advocates "thrilled" In one short paragraph of a 34-page memo released on Dec. 1, the Department of Education articulated a clear stance on gender identity, saying transgender students in public schools should be enrolled in single-sex classes that align with how they live their lives day-to-day. “We’re thrilled,” says Shannon Minter, the legal director for the National Center for Lesbian Rights. “It’s so critical to the health and well-being of those students, and it’s going to be so helpful to have that guidance in writing so that schools understand what their obligations are.” The...

Q. My Sister’s Parenting: My sister has this idea that she shouldn’t confine her son to traditional gender stereotypes. Recently she started dressing him in feminine clothing. He is 4 years old and gets teased at his day care and has expressed many times how much he hates his dresses and pink tutus. She keeps telling him the other children are wrong to tease him and he should be proud of dressing that way. What can I say to her without insulting her parenting skills? A: Your sister’s behavior will not have your son embrace her ideals of gender fluidity,...

As a transgender woman who began her transition about a year ago, Kylie Jack is still figuring out her fashion style, but she wanted one thing right away: well-fitting bras. Friends recommended Petticoat Fair in Austin, Texas, where she lives. The lingerie shop is known for one-on-one fittings, but Jack was denied access to the area where professionals work privately with customers after being asked if she was an anatomical female. […] A gender binary exists in fashion, and that’s a challenge for those who don’t conform. Masculine-presenting women are often destined for boys’ departments or bad fits, while people...

Nantes education authorities have launched a 'Lift the Skirt' campaign to support gender equality. Under the campaign, male students and teachers of 27 public schools are invited to wear skirts on May 16, sparking controversy in the western French city. The idea to swap trousers for skirts in a stand against sexism originated from pupils themselves, and was sanctioned by the city's school authorities and therefore by the Ministry of Education, the Local reported. Those who prefer not to bare their legs have the option of wearing a sticker which says, “I am fighting against sexism, are you?” Although the...

It's the last bastion of women's outerwear that hasn't been appropriated by the more fashionable men out there - until now. High heels are, apparently, de rigueur for men. To the possible chagrin of some more traditional males, those with a fashionable eye and an eccentric sensibility are taking the women's power dressing weapon of choice and making it their own.

More than a dozen male employees working for the Roslagsbanan train services in the Swedish capital have been wearing skirts in order to keep cool. One of the drivers, Martin Åkersten, explained that temperatures can hit 95F (35C) in the train cab during the summer. Uniform regulations by the train company Arriva state that skirts or long trousers are acceptable. At a meeting last year, drivers were told that shorts were not allowed. They have given their blessing to the men wearing skirts however. "To say anything else would be discrimination," Thomas Hedenius, the communications head, told the local Mitti...

Last Friday’s cross-dressing day at a Milwaukee elementary school proved contentious. The school-sponsored event was one of the theme days during school spirit week at Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities. While the themes for each of the other days were sufficiently milquetoast, Gender Bender Day — as it was originally named — raised a few parental eyebrows. Members of the school’s student council chose the transvestite theme, reports WITI-TV. The idea was straightforward: boys were encouraged to dress like girls and girls were encouraged to dress like boys. Deidri Hernandez, the mother a second-grader at Tippecanoe, found out...
