It was the issue that swung the election for many of the 81 per cent of white evangelicals who voted for him. Donald Trump's vow to pack the Supreme Court with conservative judges was crucial to his popularity with Christians who might otherwise be reluctant to support a man with such a dubious moral background. Wayne Grudem, Franklin Graham, Eric Metaxas, Jerry Falwell and James Dobson all cited the court in justifying their support for Trump.

Linda Sarsour, a national co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington – whose stated mission is “to send a bold message…that women’s rights are human rights” – is also an outspoken advocate of Islamic Sharia Law that restricts the rights of women, claiming Sharia is “reasonable” and has simply been “misunderstood.” “We will not rest until women have parity and equity at all levels of leadership in society. We work peacefully while recognizing there is no true peace without justice and equity for all,” the Women’s March mission statement says, in part. {.. snip ..}

Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg struck a defiant tone Wednesday against an executive order signed by President Donald Trump seeking to block federal aid to local governments that do not cooperate with federal authorities to track and report undocumented immigrants. The Sacramento City Council passed an ordinance in 1985 prohibiting city police and other employees from asking about individuals’ immigration status. Steinberg said the city will not reverse course and will remain what is known as a “sanctuary city,” even under the threat of missing out on federal aid. He said the city will begin assessing how much federal revenue is...

Mary Tyler Moore was not what most people would call a conservative. But what may surprise many television fans mourning her passing at age 80 Wednesday is that the actress also didn’t consider herself a liberal. In the 2013 PBS series “Pioneers of Television: Funny Ladies,” Moore explained that despite her TV character’s image on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” as a never-married working woman who became a feminist icon, she turned down Gloria Steinem’s invitation to join the feminist movement. “I believed, and still do, that women have a very major role to play as mothers,” said Moore. “It’s...

A Texas radio station is taking all Madonna songs off the air indefinitely after the singer's comments over the weekend. Texarkana's HITS 105, KTTY-FM 105.1, banned Madonna music in the station's local programming after the singer's profane and violent speech at the Women's March in Washington D.C. Saturday. Madonna took the stage Saturday and shared her feelings on the recent election results to the over 1 million protesters there. "Yes, I'm angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House," said Madonna. Station General Manager Terry Thomas says banning the singer's...

Among the speakers at the Women’s March on Washington was feminist activist Donna Hylton. In 1985, Hylton was convicted in a New York court for her participation in the violent abduction, torture, and murder of Thomas Vigliarolo, a 60-year-old real estate broker. She is in demand on college campuses and elsewhere to speak about life in prison, and on her feminist perspective. Her website does not mention her conviction or the crimes ascribed to her. Four other were convicted as well. -snip According to a 1995 article in Psychology Today, Hylton was part of a gang hired by victim Vigliarolo’s...

Carl Edwards remains a hot topic in NASCAR, two weeks after his abrupt retirement as a full-time driver. Terry Smith, a political science professor at Columbia College, speculated in a Wednesday piece for KBIA's Talking Politics that Edwards will challenge U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill in Missouri next year. McCaskill, a Democrat, is in her second term. Edwards didn't exactly rule it out when reached by The Associated Press. He texted: "I believe firmly in the principles that the U.S. was founded upon. If I could help, I definitely would consider it."

“A bad tree cannot bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matthew 7:18-19Obamacare, or the Affordable Care Act (ACA), is truly the fruit of a “bad tree.” The roots of this tree are decades old and include moral relativism and socialism with all their offshoots. Obamacare incorporates and perpetuates many of these offshoots thereby sustaining a twofold crisis in healthcare: ethical and economic.The ethical crisis is a direct, albeit largely unrecognized result of the sexual revolution of the 1960’s and its fruits, particularly the two Supreme Court...

Former US President Barack Obama was accepted to the elite Woodmont Country Club, his hostile policies towards Israel notwithstanding and despite opposition by club members. The Washington Post reported Monday that the predominantly Jewish club admitted the former US president after a fight among members over whether to grant Obama membership. Some opposed it, saying they wanted to exclude him because of actions they considered hostile and damaging to Israel. In an email Monday, Woodmont President Barry Forman told club members that after “many hours in recent weeks considering this matter and the views of our members,” the executive committee...
