Russian government hackers have breached the computers of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, according to individuals familiar with the matter. The intrusion appeared to be carried out by the same Russian intelligence service that hacked the Democratic National Committee earlier this year, the individuals said. The FBI is investigating this breach as part of a broader probe into hacking of political organizations. The revelation, first reported by Reuters, comes on the same evening that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton was making her acceptance speech at the party’s national convention in Philadelphia. “It’s definitely part of a much, much broader campaign that...

The House Democratic campaign chief confirmed today they would not be providing funding to Debbie Wasserman Schultz in her Florida race. Roll Call reported: House Democratic campaign chief Ben Ray Luján confirmed Monday that providing funding for outgoing Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz in her looming Florida primary won’t be a priority.“The question I was asked is: Does the [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee] get involved in primaries or in races with incumbents?” said Lujan, a New Mexico congressman. “And what we shared with Debbie … is that priority for the DCCC is always incumbent protection, but that where...

Several weeks before he massacred 49 at an Orlando gay nightclub, Muslim terrorist Omar Seddique Mateen transferred over his interest in his Florida home to his older sister and Afghan brother-in-law, property records show — an indication the family possibly had some knowledge of his martyrdom plans. Authorities say the fatally shot Mateen clearly was prepared to die in a gun battle with police during the June 12 attack, the deadliest act of terrorism on U.S. soil since 9/11. On April 5, Mateen “quit-claimed” the deed on his Port St. Lucie, Fla., house, signing it over to his sister, Sabrina...

A former deputy executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) on Friday lashed out at presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders in a post on Medium titled "Go f--- yourself, Bernie." The post was in response to Sanders implying that rival Hillary Clinton was praising President Obama in order to "win support from the African American community where the President is enormously popular." "It’s not just Black people that love Obama. The President is 'enormously popular' among all Democrats. Welcome to the Party," former DCCC official Brandon English wrote in his post. "Do you have any idea how belittling it...

Patty Glaser, the lawyer for Rush Limbaugh, said that the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee's attempts to fundraise off of Limbaugh's comments on sexual assault were "unforgivable" in an appearance on Monday's "Hannity" on the Fox News Channel. Glaser called the DCCC's fundraising "just unforgivable, and it's black and white. There needs to be no hyperbole, there needs to be no stretching. Rush's comments were deliberately taken out of context for apparently political reasons by people who should know better. This was not an irresponsible blogger. This was a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee made up of people that we've elected to...

Radio host Rush Limbaugh has threatened to sue the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) for defamation, The Daily Caller has learned. Limbaugh retained the services of lawyer Patty Glaser and demanded that the DCCC “preserve all records in anticipation of a lawsuit for defamation and interference” after the Democratic Party group led a campaign against Limbaugh based on out-of-context statements the host made about sexual assault. Limbaugh’s legal team delivered a letter to DCCC representatives Monday informing them of the legal threat. Limbaugh has also demanded a public retraction and apology. The Limbaugh team is currently proceeding from the standpoint...

National Democrats are canceling more than $1 million of planned commercial airtime for Colorado congressional candidate Andrew Romanoff — a sign of waning confidence in his prospects. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee had reserved $1.4 million for TV spending to boost Romanoff in the final two weeks of his race against Republican Rep. Mike Coffman. .. Romanoff, a former state House speaker and unsuccessful 2010 Senate candidate, was once regarded as one of his party’s top 2014 hopefuls. But, with Republicans benefiting from a favorable national environment and Coffman running an energetic reelection campaign, Romanoff has seen his prospects dim....

A Dallas hospital's bizarre bungle of the first U.S. case of Ebola leaves me wondering: Is someone covering up for a crony billionaire Obama donor and her controversy-plagued, taxpayer-subsidized electronic medical records company? Last week, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital revealed in a statement that a procedural flaw in its online health records system led to potentially deadly miscommunication between nurses and doctors. The facility sent Ebola victim Thomas Duncan home despite showing signs of the disease -- only to admit him with worse symptoms three days later. Hospital officials, who came forward "in the interest of transparency," initially cited workflow...

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee would like you to donate. Right now. The campaign organization, hoping to lead Democrats to control of the House come November, has spent the past week sending out a series of strongly-worded, seemingly desperate, fundraising e-mails trying to get supporters to donate. "All hope is lost," reads the subject of one such e-mail. "We're in serious trouble," it continues. "Karl Rove and the Koch Brothers are massively outspending us...If we get blown out right now, we might as well give up hope until 2016." Another e-mail says Democratic campaigners weren't ready for Republican attack ads....

National Democrats are expecting an influx of millions from Koch brothers-affiliated outside groups into the Florida special House election. And to prepare, Democrats are going on offense to frame Republican David Jolly as an out-of-touch Washington lobbyist, according to a new memo obtained by The Hill. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee’s memo outlines the party’s views on where Jolly stands heading into the March general election against Democrat Alex Sink to succeed the late Rep. Bill Young (R-Fla.), hammering him both for his lobbying background and the policies of the GOP. “While Jolly’s career as a Washington insider epitomizes exactly...

Now that the Obama administration assures us HealthCare.gov is working smoothly, Democrats have no reason to run away from Obamacare, right? After all, House minority leader Nancy Pelosi and DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz both assured us Democrats will be “standing tall” and will be running on the successful, popular issue of Obamacare in 2014. Strangely, it appears the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee didn’t get the memo. There’s no mention of Obamacare on their homepage this morning.

Project Vote Deputy Director Amy Busefink is busy lobbying the Texas legislature on election-integrity issues — trying to stop Texas from checking to see if Texas voters are registered in multiple states. She recently organized a letter of various left-wing groups trying to stop legislation before the Texas House Elections Committee. Members of the Texas legislature shouldn’t take Busefink seriously — she has a history of participating in voter fraud. Busefink enters her plea in court to voter fraud. Busefink sent a letter on April 8, 2013, to the Texas House Elections Committee asking them to block a law that...

Dem platform calls for gun reform, but advocates pan draft as timid By Mike Lillis - 09/02/12 01:30 PM ET The Democrats' approach to gun reform is far too timid and needs a boost of courage to be effective, some leading gun-reformers charged this week. The draft language of the Democrats' 2012 platform – set for a final vote next week in Charlotte – argues that current safeguards protecting the public against gun violence are insufficient and urges "an honest and open conversation about firearms." The document also calls for "reasonable regulation" governing guns, including laws banning assault weapons and...
