Less than a quarter of Danes oppose a ban on the burqa and niqab, according to a new survey. A majority of the population support banning the two types of Islamic veil in public, according to an opinion poll carried out by Epinion on behalf of broadcaster DR. Denmark has signed an agreement to provide water purification technology to the thirsty coastal US state of California, in a deal that could bring millions into the Danish economy. The west coast state will spend millions of dollars over the coming years on improving water quality and reducing waste. Aarhus Municipality has given an anti-abortion protest group 48 hours to remove stickers from public areas in the city. The group, Retten til Liv (Right to Life), placed 20,000 of its stickers in various places around Aarhus during the weekend, reports broadcaster DR.
