More of the cost of Charlotte's light-rail line apparently will be paid from the transit sales tax after the Federal Transit Administration said Friday it will spend no more than $192.9 million on the project. With prices up $38 million in the past few weeks because of higher steel and cement costs, Charlotte hoped the federal government would offer more help. St. Louis police were called to the Bullseye Shooting Range in Manchester Monday after an accidental shooting. A mouse loose in a Somerset County house may have escaped injury early Tuesday morning, but a woman who lives there wasn't as fortunate.
