MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — After Tnuza Jamal Hassan was stopped from flying to Afghanistan last September, she allegedly told FBI agents that she wanted to join al-Qaida and marry a fighter, and that she might even wear a suicide belt. She also said she was angry at U.S. military actions overseas and admitted that she tried to encourage others to “join the jihad in fighting,” but she said she had no intention of carrying out an attack on U.S. soil, according to prosecutors. Despite her alleged admissions, she was allowed to go free. Four months later, the 19-year-old was arrested for...

It should be no surprise that less than a year after a Bernie Sanders fan took a rifle and attempted to erase the Congressional GOP for the crime of having different political views that some cretin decided to send Donald Trump Jr. a packet of mystery white powder. After all, Don Jr. is not a progressive, so don’t his and his family deserve to be terrorized, if not murdered? Or did I misunderstand the progressives’ stand by their near total silence? Well, not total silence. The Twitter left sure had a ball with it, yukking it up. Dousing someone...

LAKELAND, FL (The Miami Herald) – Pleading guilty to putting lye in sauce led to a seven-year prison sentence for a Florida restaurant worker — and possibly more punitive action at the federal level. Margarito Padilla began serving his sentence Monday, according to Florida Department of Corrections records. On Tuesday, Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Tampa office filed a detainer on the 54-year-old Guadalajara, Mexico, native, meaning ICE wants to know when Padilla finishes doing his time.... A Maryland teen accused of meticulously planning a violent attack at her high school has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing explosive material with the intent to create a destructive device, authorities say. Nicole Cevario, 19, of Thurmont was sentenced after entering the guilty plea Tuesday. Police learned of Cevario's plot after her father read her diary and called the school in March. Within hours of the father's phone call, the honor student was pulled out of a classroom and involuntarily taken to a hospital for a psychological evaluation. Police believe the diary entries...

Windows have been smashed on five buses used to shuttle Apple employees around the San Francisco Bay Area in suspected pellet gun attacks during the past several days, the Guardian reported Wednesday. The first incident occurred Friday as the commuter bus was traveling from the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, to San Francisco, the newspaper reported. Subsequent suspected attacks occurred Tuesday, according to an internal Apple memo obtained by the Guardian. "There is nothing confirmed but it is suspected that a pellet gun might have been used in these incidents," the email to employees said. "Luckily, no one seems to...

An employee who spoke to Mashable said that several shuttles have suffered from broken windows, and on an internal email thread, there was speculation that it could be due to "rubber rounds" fired at the buses. There have been at least four reports of broken windows on January 12 and January 16.
  • Man arrested for terroristic threats to kill NFL players and fans in Pittsburgh on Sunday

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars are set to kick off their AFC divisional round playoff contest on Sunday as planned in spite of some terroristic threats made prior to the game. Yuttana Choochongkol, 30, reportedly sent threats to a Pittsburgh television station and the director of security for Heinz Field — the home stadium of the Steelers — indicating he was planning to do harm to many people at the game. According to a police affidavit on the arrest, a message sent Thursday to KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh read like this: “This Sunday’s playoff game in Pittsburgh is going to...

A Missouri man whose bizarre antics on an Amtrak train in October landed him in jail now faces terrorism charges. Taylor Michael Wilson, 26, of St. Charles, Miss., allegedly forced his way into the train engineer’s cab while in southwest Nebraska and pulled the emergency brakes. He then made odd statements like, “I’m the conductor b----“ and “what are you going to do, shoot me?” NBC News reported. The FBI believes Wilson is a white supremacist who is a member of a neo-Nazi group, authorities said. Wilson, 26, was charged in December with “terrorism attacks and other violence against railroad...

A skeletal portrait of the Sterling, Va., man federal authorities have accused of obstructing a terrorism investigation began to come into focus on Monday — that of a directionless youth who converted to Islam at the end of high school, married a significantly older Muslim woman, had a child who died as an infant, and became increasingly religious until an arrest Friday that allegedly included him destroying a computer thumb drive that authorities suspect may have contained evidence of terrorism-related activity. In the months before that arrest, court filings allege, Sean Andrew Duncan, 21, who will appear in federal court...

Claims by police apologists that a "war on cops" ensued from a reform movement that emerged after the shooting of Michael Brown in 2014 in Ferguson, Missouri, has no statistical support. Preliminary data from the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) finds that 128 police officers died in the line of duty in 2017—44 of them were fatally shot. Last year 64 officers were fatally shot. And since 2011, the numbers have largely gone down. In the meantime, police have fatally shot 971 people so far this year—the youngest of them just 6 years old. Last year, 963 people...

There was little sleep the first night. Everyone was too wired with nerves and excitement. They expected the police to barrel in at any moment. The encampment went up on Nov. 17, a guerrilla whirlwind of tents, tarps, wooden pallets and two-by-four studs. In just a few hours, the intersection at Jefferson Street SE and Seventh Avenue in downtown Olympia, Wash., was transformed from a drab piece of asphalt into a hulking structure, somewhere between a refugee camp and a carnival tent. As impressive as the camp was, however, most of the 100 people who collected behind its barricades the...

Early in the morning of April 20th we poured concrete on the train tracks that lead out of the Port of Olympia to block any trains from using the tracks. We took precautions to notify BNSF (the train company) – we called them and we used wires to send a signal that the tracks were blocked. We did this not to avoid damaging a train, nothing would bring bigger grins to our faces, but to avoid the risk of injuring railway workers. This action was done to disrupt the movement of trains carrying proppants used in natural gas fracturing. These...

Full title : 60 Minutes claims 74% of “extremist-related killings” in US in last 10 years by “right-wing extremists,” not jihadis This is a completely false statistic, designed to foster ignorance and complacency about the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat. And the establishment media repeats it, or variations of it, relentlessly. Here is why it is false: 1. It misleads immediately by covering only the last ten years. Why that period? What changed between 2006 and 2007? Why not go back 20 years? Because then the survey period would include 9/11, and would show Islamic jihad terrorists killing...

Former President Barack Obama's White House ethics lawyer warned of "taking to the streets" in the case Robert Mueller is fired from the special investigation into President Trump. Shaub held the position of Director of the U.S. Office for Government Ethics from 2013 through July 2017, when he submitted his resignation to Trump. Shaub said at the time that Trump has created an environment where ethics don't matter. This week, Shaub tweeted that he registered for a left-wing group's planned Capitol Hill protest, set to commence when and if Trump fires Mueller.(snip)
