The IDF on Saturday denied a report by the British newspaper The Independent claiming that Israel used uranium-based munitions, including uranium-tipped bunker-buster bombs, during its war against Hizbullah in Lebanon this summer. "The IDF Spokesman's Office wants to make it clear that no munitions containing uranium were used in the war in Lebanon," an IDF spokesman told The Jerusalem Post. Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting of five Duquesne basketball players early Sunday. KDKA-TV said the alleged gunman was arrested overnight. His name has not yet been released. The man will be arraigned this morning on charges related to the shooting. Two other men are in custody, but are thought to be witnesses to the shooting. A 19-year-old woman, who is said to be an associate of the suspect, was arrested on a conspiracy charge stemming from an incident at a dance earlier in night.

Some professors at Princeton University have posted a video on YouTube showing how to hack into the Diebold voting machines that are supposed to be used in 40% of the elections this fall. Democratic Web loggers are so upset by that ABC 9/11 movie that they've planned an Internet attack — known as a Google Bomb — to make sure their view of the film dominates the Web. Activists on Democratic-Underground.com have urged every Democratic blogger to post identical entries after the movie airs, all featuring the film's title, so that any Internet search for the movie will turn up a liberal blog highlighting what they say are multiple inaccuracies in the film.
