LOS ANGELES -- A man was arrested and accused of mailing threatening letters laced with white powder to Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, David Letterman and other high-profile figures, the FBI announced Sunday. The IDF on Saturday denied a report by the British newspaper The Independent claiming that Israel used uranium-based munitions, including uranium-tipped bunker-buster bombs, during its war against Hizbullah in Lebanon this summer. U.S. Army troops operating at a former Iraqi air base recently made a startling discovery: Russian-made missiles marked with radioactive warning signs. Army bomb disposal troops confirmed using Geiger counters that the missiles are indeed radioactive. The discovery is not, however, considered the long-sought "smoking gun" of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting of five Duquesne basketball players early Sunday. KDKA-TV said the alleged gunman was arrested overnight. His name has not yet been released. The man will be arraigned this morning on charges related to the shooting. Two other men are in custody, but are thought to be witnesses to the shooting. A 19-year-old woman, who is said to be an associate of the suspect, was arrested on a conspiracy charge stemming from an incident at a dance earlier in night.

Some professors at Princeton University have posted a video on YouTube showing how to hack into the Diebold voting machines that are supposed to be used in 40% of the elections this fall. On Democratic Underground they're talking about how to steal cards just like the voting machines use from Diebold laundry machines used in laundromats, and then reprogram them to change the votes on the voting machines.
