August 21, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - John Kerry yesterday slammed his Senate colleague Joe Lieberman as "dead wrong" on Iraq. Kerry (D-Mass.) accused now-independent Lieberman, the Democratic vice-presidential nominee in 2000, of parroting the phrases of Vice President Dick Cheney about the war in Iraq and its critics. "I am concerned that he is making a Republican case and he is uttering almost the same words as Vice President Cheney, and I think it's inappropriate," Kerry fumed on ABC's "This Week."
