Lin Wood: "I can tell you that the Kraken, I believe from what I've learned, Kraken was the code name given to a project where the United States recognized that they would in fact be attacked in this election. I think the country and its intelligence officers took the adequate steps to document what happened on November the 3rd. I think they've known since then. I think Sidney has done a magnificent job of trying to set the table for when the President has to announce it. So I believe you're going to find that the President of the United...

Former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne blasted President Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows and White House lawyers in comments posted online Sunday about a meeting at the White House Friday night with Trump about the contested presidential election that Byrne attended with attorney Sydney Powell and former Trump national security advisor Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn (U.S. Army ret.), saying that Trump is being “betrayed from within.” Byrne also denied the reporting that a military coup or martial law were discussed. “My involvement is I was in the room when it happened. The raised voices included my own. I can promise...

Max Boot, a conservative columnist for The Washington Post, in his latest op-ed Monday warned of what he fears will be President Donald Trump’s legacy for the GOP. Boot wrote of his hope that Trump’s “outrageous” bid to overturn the 2020 election would be “the last gasp of a pathetic presidency in its dying days” but also of his worry “it might represent only a middle chapter in the Republican Party’s transformation” into an authoritarian party. Boot, a vocal critic of Trump, noted how even before Trump’s arrival on the political stage, “Republicans had shown their willingness to use any...

In a sane world this would have to be true, right? He has no reason to lie. The footage will be globally available in 48 hours. We’ll all know the truth, or at least have strong opinions about it, by Friday afternoon. But in a sane world, he wouldn’t have gone boasting to New York tabloids in July that he had totally pwn3d Sacha Baron Cohen by foiling a prank, knowing that Cohen had footage of him lying on a bed with his hands down his pants. So, yeah, Rudy’s perfectly capable of telling lies which he has every reason to...

In the runup to World War II, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt enlisted the entire US economy in an effort to scale up production of war material. All of the country’s resources were bent to the task. In 1939, the US had 1,700 aircraft; in 1945, it had 300,000 military aircraft and 18,500 B–24 bombers. By the time the war was won, the economy was up and humming with a massively expanded workforce (drawing in women and African Americans) and turbocharged productive capacity. Investments made during the war mobilization yielded a robust middle class and decades of sustained, broadly shared prosperity....

Just started the fourth season of Justified. Really good show. A couple weeks back I remembered Miami Vice and did a search to see if it was available. Yup. So a couple of times I would watch an episode or two of Justified and then an episode of Miami Vice. Gotta stop doing that. After watching Justified it makes Miami Vice kinda sloowww. But then Miami Vice is from 36 years ago. But I'll watch it after I'm done with Justified.

A Black Lives Matter mural outside of Chicago was painted over to read "All Lives Matter" earlier this week, the latest occurrence of what has become a nationwide trend in recent weeks of vandals defacing similar BLM murals, as the U.S. painfully comes to terms with an evolving public dialogue centered around racism following the death of George Floyd. 'Black Lives Matter' mural painted in NYC NEW YORK, USA - JUNE 15: An aerial view of 'Black Lives Matter' mural painting is seen on Fulton ... Reflections on the anniversary of the Seventeenth Amendment “The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one Vote.” - Constitution of the United States of America, Article 1, Section 3 And so it was, for about 124 years, from the implementation of the Constitution in 1789 through the implementation of Amendment XVII, on April 8, 1913. With the Seventeenth Amendment, the progressive era reached its pinnacle. Direct election of United States Senators forever severed the tethers by which the state...

VIDEO Leftist voices have already weighed in on Tulsi Gabbard endorsing Joe Biden when she dropped out of the presidential race and they are far from happy with her. The reactions range from disgust to sadness and even to being resigned to Trump's ultimate victory in November. In fact, it is even starting to sound as if some among the left will be SUPPORTING Trump in the election since their other options have been closed off.

During MSNBC’s Super Tuesday coverage, Democratic strategist James Carville stated that House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) “saved the Democratic Party” and predicted that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) will face “backlash” and calls for him to exit the race to prevent the primary race from dragging on for too long. Carville began by saluting Clyburn and saying he “literally saved the Democratic Party.”

Nancy Pelosi was apparently advised by leftwing Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe to delay sending the impeachment to the Senate. So she’s unilaterally sitting on the impeachment. This is another brazen unconstitutional act. Here’s what Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans must do in response: The Senate has the sole power under the Constitution to adjudicate an impeachment. Therefore, Pelosi is attempting to obstruct the Senate’s power to act on its constitutional authority. McConnell should immediately put an end to this and declare the impeachment null and void as the speaker has failed to complete the impeachment process by timely...

"I don't want to be a flat Earther," David Weiss says, his voice weary as he reflects on his personal awakening. "Would you wake up in the morning and want everyone to think you're an idiot?" But Weiss is a flat Earther. Ever since he tried and failed to find proof of the Earth's curve four years ago, he's believed with an evident passion that our planet is both flat and stationary -- and it's turned his world upside down. "I absolutely freaked out," Weiss tells CNN in a phone interview. "It literally whips the rug out from underneath you."...

The Nation published an “anti-endorsement” of 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, Thursday, calling on the former Vice President to “withdraw from the race” so the Democratic Party has a chance against President Donald Trump. In an editorial, The Nation wrote that Biden’s chance against President Trump in 2020 “has become increasingly threadbare.”

Have you ever wondered how far left the Democratic Party has gone since 2008, let alone 2016? Well, as an example, former President Barack Obama likely would have been chased off the campaign trail had he made some recent comments of his as a 2020 Democratic primary candidate. On Tuesday, President Obama told an audience at the Obama Foundation Summit that they need to get over being "woke" and realize that simply judging people and "casting stones" does not equate to activism. "This idea of purity and you’re never compromised and you’re always politically woke and all that stuff, you...

Four years ago, Donald Trump’s candidacy was the craziest thing any of us had ever seen. But since then, his opponents have gone so far off the deep end that they have made him seem the sensible alternative. For whatever reason – jealousy? bad advisers? – Mitt Romney hasn’t come to the realization the rest of us have: that President Trump is now the thin orange line between order and chaos. Happy enough to accept the president’s endorsement last year, Romney quickly turned on him to become a virtue-signaling headline-chaser. He began his Senate tenure with an attack piece in...

Beto O'Rourke is the Jar Jar Binks of the Democratic field. Maybe in all of politics. The concept of Beto, like Jar Jar, was carefully planned and cultivated. Beto was a creation of the media who saw him as the new floppy-haired hope a few years ago. He transcended modern politics with cool, Generation X flare and almost gave Ted Cruz a run for his money in Texas.

President Trump and his aides are privately worried that impeachment investigations will stifle administration work, such as efforts to procure a North American trade deal, even as they publicly gird for a fight, according to multiple insiders. But operatives on his reelection campaign see an opportunity to mobilize the base, setting up a divide between them and White House aides trying to head off damage. Trump’s confidants charge that the Democrats are acting in bad faith and trying to stymie the president’s chances to advance some policies before the campaign shoves everything else aside. Trump himself unsuccessfully tried to prevent...
