About 125 family and friends of Jerry Brown marched down Fifth Avenue in the rain Sunday afternoon to protest after the 41-year-old was fatally shot last week by Pasco County sheriff’s detectives. Detectives said they shot Brown on Tuesday during an undercover drug deal near Big Ben Tires, 4128 Gall Blvd., where Brown was employed. The sheriff’s office said detectives were arresting Brown, a Lakeland resident, for selling prescription drugs. Brown was later found to be unarmed, Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said.
