    The latest CNN/Time Opinion Research Corporation poll shows a tight race for governor in Florida, with Republican Rick Scott receiving 49 percent of the vote and Democrat Alex Sink with 46 percent. Scott's modest lead is one point greater than the same survey found in late September. The poll of likely voters also looked at Florida's increasingly predictable Senate race, in which Republican Marco Rubio now leads by 14 percentage points. The spread was 11 points in late September. Rubio has 46 percent support, compared to Gov. Charlie Crist with 32 percent and Kendrick Meek with 20 percent.

    The race for the U.S. Senate in Florida continues to be all about Governor Charlie Crist and former state House Speaker Marco Rubio, regardless of which Democrat they face. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Florida shows Rubio with 38% of the vote and Crist at 33% if Congressman Kendrick Meek is the nominee. Meek earns 21%. Only one percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, and seven percent (7%) are undecided. If billionaire Jeff Greene is the Democratic candidate, Crist gets 37% support to Rubio’s 36%, with Greene trailing at 20%. two percent (2%) like another...

    Betty Castor, Bill McCollum Come In Tops The results are in from NewsChannel 2's Orlando Sentinel Poll that focused on the U.S. Senate race. Thirty-three of state Democrats favor former education commissioner Betty Castor -- a wide margin over her nearest challenger, Rep. Peter Deutsch, who took in 16 percent of votes. Miami mayor Alex Penelas came in at 9 percent. Four percent were undecided. On the Republican side, former Rep. Bill McCollum leads former HUD secretary Mel Martinez 27 percent to 18 percent respectively. State Sen. Dan Webster raked in 8 percent. A whopping 34 percent were undecided.
