A top GOP donor in Florida is threatening to withhold contributions to candidates and political groups that do not get behind a ban on assault weapons, The New York Times reported. In an email to half a dozen Republican leaders on Saturday, Florida-based real estate developer Al Hoffman Jr. decried the rash of mass shootings that has roiled the U.S. for years, and demanded that GOP politicians take action. "I will not write another check unless they all support a ban on assault weapons," Hoffman wrote in the email, according to the Times. "Enough is enough!"

Saw jackie Chan movie "the Foreigner". Interesting side note: he has ben off and on the highest paid actor in the world, mainly due to huge success China, plus his big hits in US. Movie was interesting since some of it was in mandarin with subtitles. Tthe rest takes place in Ireland. Movie itself is a tried and true formula: terorists kill the daughter of just some regular nobody guy running a Chinese restaurant in London. Except-oh oh- he isn’t a regular guy but a retired special forces guy with bomb making, survival, firearms, kung fu, etc etc. Couple good...

BELLEVUE, Neb. (WOWT) -- A local man was kicked out of a Bellevue Golden Corral because of the shirt on his back. Another customer reported him to the manager, claiming the shirt was too controversial for children to see. The situation has the man in-question considering his first amendment rights. “"I paid for the f***-ing food,” Riek Mock can be heard saying in the video. Mock told his son to start recording video on his phone Sunday when the restaurant’s manager asked him to leave. "He said a customer is complaining he don't like your T-shirt on," said Mock. "I...

I see some NeverTrump Freepers are back, posting articles almost like clockwork. Is this some paid trolling going on? Is it some psych-op for the GOPe Uniparty? Using FR as a place to foment conflict/hone the Establishment's arguments against Trump and real conservatives and/or Christians? No one has the time to be posting as many articles in a day these people are posting without getting paid. Sorry. I think it's an "op" against FR.

(RELATED: Johnny Depp: Donald Trump Will Be The Last U.S. President) “I find almost everything that Mr. Trump says objectionable,” Rowling said. “I consider him offensive and bigoted. But, he has my full support to come to my country and be offensive and bigoted there.” “His freedom to speak protects my freedom...

HUDSON, N.H. — Ted Cruz on Tuesday went further than ever in needling Donald Trump, suggesting Democrats are behind the billionaire's questions about his citizenship. Speaking with reporters after a rally here, the U.S. senator from Texas was asked what he thought of Trump citing Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe's analysis that Cruz might be ineligible to be president. Trump has pounced on Cruz's Canadian birth to cast doubt on whether he is a natural-born citizen.“I will say it is more than a little strange to see Donald relying on as authoritative a liberal, left-wing, judicial activist Harvard law professor who is a...

What Does the Bible Actually Say About How Christians are to View Muslim Immigration? We present below two lists of verses of interest below. Instead, we attempt to list, without comment, every single Bible verse which has some relevance to the topic at hand. We let the Bible speak for itself. Our goal is this: If the Bible addresses the question of interest, then it does so in the verses listed here. Otherwise unless we've missed something, the Bible DOES NOT ADDRESS...

Some are calling it the “height of hypocrisy,” bordering on demagoguery. Nikki Haley, South Carolina’s Republican governor, came out last Thursday and blasted possible White House plans to bring Guantanamo Bay prisoners to her state. The governor called a news conference and didn’t mince words. “We are absolutely drawing a line that we are not going to allow any terrorist to come into South Carolina,” Haley said. “We are not going to allow that kind of threat, we are not going to allow that kind of character to come in. ... Yet, at the same time she was drawing a...

President Barack Obama has quietly handed out an extra 5.46 million work permits for non-immigrant foreigners who arrived as tourists, students, illegal immigrants or other types of migrants since 2009, according to federal documents released by a Freedom of Information Act request. “The executive branch is operating a huge parallel work-authorization system outside the bounds of the [immigration] laws and limits written by Congress [and which] inevitably reduces job opportunities for Americans,” said Jessica Vaughan, the policy director at the Center for Immigration Studies, while filed the FOIA request. “The true magnitude of how often he has evaded the limits...

The UC Berkeley student government has banned the term “illegal immigrant” from its discourse, deeming the phrase racist, offensive, unfair and derogatory. In an unanimous vote, student senators passed a resolution that stated the word “illegal” is “racially charged,” “dehumanizes” people, and contributes to “punitive and discriminatory actions aimed primarily at immigrants and communities of color.” The “resolution in support of drop the I-word campaign” was approved 18 to 0 with one abstention on Oct. 30, according to a copy of the meeting’s minutes obtained by The College Fix. Its approval marks at least the second time this semester that...

It’s just one tweet, but the sheer mendacity requires its own post. With the media finally in “now it can be told” mode since Obamacare passed and President Obama was reelected, pretty much everyone is admitting what all of us knew four years ago— that no, not everyone would be able to keep their plans if they liked their plans. And, yes, the Obama administration knew it just as sure as its critics did. It was a lie and an obvious one, but the administration, much of the media, and Obamacare supporters happily acted as if it were true and...

Investigator who has documented White House fraud says interest surging The dispute over Barack Obama’s eligibility was headline material in his first term, as lawsuits reached as high as the U.S. Supreme Court and the president released his purported “original” birth certificate from Hawaii in an attempt to silence the doubters. But there’s been a lot of silence over the past year, with the exception of a couple of diehard, truth-seeking individuals and websites. That might change soon, according to the lead investigator for Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse in Arizona, which was assigned to do a thorough investigation...

President Obama blames the press for creating the image that he's aloof and disconnected from the rest of Washington, insisting in a new interview that he's just more interested in spending time with his family than in exchanging pleasantries with strangers. "My suspicion is that this whole critique has to do with the fact that I don’t go to a lot of Washington parties and, as a consequence, the Washington press corps maybe just doesn’t feel like I’m in the mix enough with them, and they figure, well, if I’m not spending time with them, I must be cold and...
