EIGHT people have been arrested at Istanbul's main airport hub amid fears they are Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists posing as refugees on their way to Germany. Police sources said one of the suspects had a hand-drawn picture of a planned route from Turkey to Germany, via Greece, Serbia and Hungary. It is believed the group are Islamic State militants planning to make their way to Germany posing as refugees. The Anadolu Agency said the group arrived in Istanbul from Casablanca, Morocco, and were interviewed by criminal profiling teams at Ataturk Airport. Eight young men in western Germany were arrested in a school yard on Monday after drawing fake guns on a teacher and claiming to be from terrorist group ISIS. The men stormed the school yard in Gelsenkirchen on Monday afternoon, WAZ newspaper reports, and started threatening people with the fake pistols. When a teacher confronted the men about what they were doing there they started hurling "disgusting insults" at her and one of the gang aimed one of the blank-firing guns at her, according to the school's headmaster, Berti Oberholz. The teacher, who was unable to identify that the pistol...
  • KERRY: ISIS ATTACK ON CHARLIE HEBDO WAS "SORT OF LEGITIMATE"

It's time to play America's fastest growing game show sensation, "Moron or Traitor." It's a tough challenge because this administration has plenty of both. So does a radicalized Democratic Party leaping into insanity. A Democratic candidate was recently forced to drop out for tweeting that ISIS isn't evil. But don't look for Kerry to quit over his suggestion that the ISIS massacre of Charlie Hebdo artists and writers (not to mention, as his boss put it, some random (Jewish) folks in a deli) There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There...

Following on the heels of the Swedish foreign minister, the chairman of the Dutch Socialist Party in the Netherlands justified the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists who conducted Saturday's brutal attacks in Paris that left 129 dead, blaming it on "frustration" at Israel. According to Jan Marijnissen, the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs somehow ignited the attack on French civilians at cafes, show venues, soccer stadiums and restaurants. "Their behavior eventually is connected also to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict," claimed Marijnissen in an interview with the Dutch NPO Radio1 on Monday. ...

Secretary of State John Kerry appeared to justify the terror attacks on the headquarters of magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris earlier this year during remarks in the capital of France Tuesday. The Weekly Standard reported that Kerry distinguished the terror attacks on Charlie Hebdo from the shootings and suicide bombings in Paris Friday for which the Islamic State has claimed responsibility.“There’s something different about what happened from Charlie Hebdo, and I think everybody would feel that. There was a sort of particularized focus and perhaps even a legitimacy in terms of–not a legitimacy, but a rationale that you could attach yourself to somehow and say,...

Potentially lethal bombings at two sites in Hanover, Germany were defused on Tuesday night, just days after Muslim terrorists carried out lethal coordinated attacks in Paris. The similar nature of targets selected in the attempted bombings Tuesday make it likely to have been an attempt by Islamists to repeat the carnage in Paris on Friday, in which 129 people were murdered. Shortly after the German national soccer stadium in Hanover was evacuated on Tuesday night, reports revealed the cause: an ambulance loaded with explosives was discovered parked outside. The discovery at the HDI Arena came just before an international friendly...

A German newspaper is reporting that a soccer match in Hannover was canceled because an ambulance full of explosives was found out front following a bomb threat. There was no immediate confirmation of that report, though the Hannover chief of police was quoted by multiple sources as saying "there was a device intended to be detonated inside the stadium."

EU member states agreed Tuesday (17 November) to grant military assistance to France following Friday's terror attacks in Paris. For the first time in EU history, defence ministers unanimously decided to activate the "mutual defence clause" of the EU treaty. "France is requesting help and assistance from Europe. And today all Europe, united, answers yes," EU diplomacy chief Federica Mogherini said at a press conference. "The European Union expressed its strongest, full support and readiness to provide all the aid and assistance asked for and needed." French president Francois Hollande had invoked article 42.7 of the EU treaty in an...

In her pursuit of the Democratic nomination for president, Hillary Rodham Clinton has emphasized her ties to President Obama. She regularly tells the story of how he wooed her into serving as his secretary of state and recites, typically to a roar of applause, the line: "President Obama doesn't get the credit he deserves.... Appearing acutely aware of how liberal primary voters, particularly in Iowa, view her hawkish reputation, Mrs. Clinton said on Saturday that "this cannot be an American fight" and that the United States should not bear "the bulk of the responsibility.".... At a campaign event in Ames,...

The friendly soccer game between Germany and the Netherlands was canceled at short notice after a suspicious object was found at the stadium on Tuesday. Policeman Joerg Hoffmeister told The Associated Press that everyone inside had to be evacuated after the as-yet unidentified object was found. Announcements at the stadium in northern Germany advised people to go home in a calm manner, and that there was no danger to fear. Most fans were still waiting outside when the order to evacuate came about an hour and a half before kickoff.

An Algerian 'refugee' staying in a German asylum centre has reportedly been arrested in relation to the Paris terror attacks. If confirmed, he would be the third terrorist implicated in the mass murder to have taken advantage of Europe's open borders by masquerading as a refugee. The man has been detained in the town of Arnsberg in western Germany. The investigation is centred on claims that he told several Syrian migrants in the accommodation that fear and terror would be spread in the French capital in the days before the Paris terror attacks, which left 129 people dead. He also...

The man, detained in the town of Arnsberg in western Germany, is being investigated on suspicion of having told Syrian refugees at the centre in recent days that fear and terror would be spread in the French capital.

Right wing party Alternative for Germany (AfD) is again on the rise in German opinion polls, taking third place nationally for the first time. The party, which is often billed as 'the German Ukip', has seen a surge in support thanks to its policies advocating controlled immigration. The party has been steadily climbing in the polls for the last few months, as disquiet grows in Germany over the government’s open doors policy on immigration. As many as 1 million migrants are expected to come to Germany this year, placing huge pressure on services and social cohesion. Following the attacks in...

Police in the western German city of Aachen arrested five people, at least three of them foreign citizens, on Tuesday in an operation linked to the militant attacks last Friday in Paris that killed 129 people. A special police response unit overpowered two women and one man outside a job centre in Alsdorf, a small town near Aachen close to Germany's border with Belgium and the Netherlands. "After the terror attacks last Friday in Paris and the search for the perpetrators and the people pulling the strings, police in Aachen got a lead to suspicious individuals in Alsdorf," a police...
