If you ever used the term “whiz kid” to refer to Glenn Beck, you now have him pegged. The media giant is reacting to controversy over a painting of President Obama resembling Jesus Christ on a crucifix by putting a bobblehead doll of President Obama into a container of what appeared to be urine. “I like to call this ‘Flobama,’” Beck said with a faux French accent, as he played the role of an artist expressing himself on his television program Tuesday evening.

A great deal of discussion has taken place on conservative message boards today due to the fact that Glenn Beck has referred to those in twenty states who have signed petitions to “secede” from the union. These petitions seemed peculiar to me since it would be the job of their elected state legislators to secede if such an activity were to take place, not individual citizens. Cliff Kincaid, president of America’s Survival, Inc. (ASI), a public policy organization, is leading a “Bring Back Beck” campaign to return Glenn Beck to the Fox News Channel, where he had a popular program devoted to analyzing current and future events, including the role of hedge fund billionaire George Soros, in the American political environment. Kincaid has produced several articles examining the role of Soros-funded groups in forcing Beck’s departure from the channel last year.

Beck is making a fool of himself going hard against Newt, with no on-air rebuttals on GBTV.com or Beck Radio allowed. His credibility is now severely damaged. Also, notice that Beck did not mention or emphasize Newt's defense of Israel, via Newt's true statement that "Palestinian" is an invented term for the Arab people in the Middle East. Can someone get a question to Beck on Newt's loyalty to Israel, which is important to Beck?

So it seems like Glenn has stirred up a little bit of a controversy among the GOP-leaning blogosphere because he is making conservatives question their excitement for Newt Gingrich. I'm always at work when the first showing of Glenn Beck airs. Lately I've been staying up and watching the 1am repeat. Today he talked about how financial terrorists could have caused the collapse of 08. He's also talking about middle eastern countries falling. He showed a map and asked the question.. if all the countries fall around Iraq.. how will our troops even get out of that country??? He then urged everyone to stock up on food.. and said while America waits for Charlie Sheens next tweet.. Americas enemies are planning our downfall..
