On CNN, the Carnegie Institute for Peace had a program regarding the Iraq situation. Was the invasion necessary? The institute, with a thorough investigation, found no compelling reason to invade - no WMD, no biological weapons, no long-range missiles. Now, Paul O'Neill, former U.S. treasurer under Bush, confirmed these allegations in his newly published book. Bush and his cronies had planned to invade Iraq from the first days he stumbled into office. We all know that Saddam is a no-good SOB, but we should not have invaded.
