    CHICAGO — Prosecutors on Thursday accused a Chicago woman of encouraging her 14-year-old son to shoot two people during an altercation at a fast food restaurant over the weekend, resulting in one man being killed.     Common kitchen wisdom dictates that hard-boiled eggs must be “shocked” in an ice bath to stop the cooking process and make them easier to peel, but only half of this is true, and the other half can be easily mitigated, meaning you can leave the ice in the freezer.     Forgive me, but I had to post an 'extra' this week! A while back there was a discussion about peeling hard-boiled eggs. ( I think I mentioned that the only time I wound up without pock-marked eggs was when I *wasn't* making them for a party. My party eggs are always ugly.)
