Army Staff Sergeant Alonzo Lunsford was interviewed on today's Laura Ingraham show. From what I gathered, the killer had a real problem getting his shots in preparation for overseas deployment. Alonzo Lunsford had to talk Hasan into it a few days before the killer shot Lunsford several times - once in the eye. Alonzo Lunsford stated that the Muslim terrorist is afraid of needles.

Fort Hood shooter Major Nidal Hasan forcibly shaved in military prison after being sentenced to death • Major Nidal Hasan began growing a beard in the years after the November 2009 shooting that left 13 dead and 30 wounded The Army psychiatrist sentenced to death for the Fort Hood shooting rampage has been forcibly shaved, an Army spokesman said on Tuesday. Major Nidal Hasan began growing a beard in the years after the November 2009 shooting that left 13 dead and 30 wounded. The beard prompted delays to his court-martial because it violated Army grooming regulations. He was convicted of...

FT LEAVENWORTH, KS — An administrative error has been blamed for a mix-up in sentencing involving the cases of convicted Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan and Bradley Manning, the Army private convicted of leaking classified documents to the website WikiLeaks. After sentencing concluded last Wednesday in Fort Hood, Texas, it was reported Hasan would undergo gender reassignment surgery and change his name from Nidal to Nahid Hasan. Nahid is an Arabic name meaning “one with full, round breasts.” Not long after it was revealed, the traitor formerly known as Chelsea had been transferred to death row where he awaits...

FORT HOOD, Texas — Fort Hood officials say the Army psychiatrist sentenced to death for the 2009 shooting rampage has arrived at the military prison at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. Officials released a statement Friday saying Maj. Nidal Hasan had arrived at the prison’s death row.

A military jury sentenced unrepentant Fort Hood jihadist Nidal Hasan to death on Wednesday. But if another murderous Muslim soldier's case is any indication, Hasan may be sitting in the catbird seat for years to come. And our men and women in uniform will remain endangered by Islamic vigilantes in their own ranks. Remember Sgt. Hasan Akbar? On March 23, 2003, this hate-filled soldier with the 326th Engineer Battalion lobbed stolen hand grenades and shot his M-4 automatic rifle into three tents filled with sleeping commanding officers at the 101st Airborne Division's 1st Brigade operations center in Kuwait. The grenade...

A day after he was sentenced to death, officials at the military prison at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. said Maj. Nidal Hasan will likely have his long and bushy beard forcibly shaved. Fort Leavenworth officials said they could not comment specifically on Hasan, but said in a statement that “All inmates are considered soldiers and are treated as such. All inmates at the U.S. Disciplinary Barracks must abide by Army Regulation 670-1 (grooming standards which prohibit beards) unless there is an exception to policy granted.” Hasan had sought such an exemption last year, but it was denied by Pentagon officials. Army...

FORT HOOD, Texas—If Nidal Hasan plans to welcome a death sentence as a pathway to martyrdom, the rules of military justice won't let him go down without a fight—whether he likes it or not. The Army psychiatrist was sentenced Wednesday to die for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting rampage that killed 13 people and wounded more than 30. But before an execution date is set, Hasan faces years, if not decades, of appeals. And this time, he won't be allowed to represent himself. "If he really wants the death penalty, the appeals process won't let it happen for a very...

FORT HOOD – U.S. Army Maj. Nidal Hasan will be executed for the 2009 shooting rampage on post that left 13 people dead and more than 30 wounded. The jury panel of 13 U.S. Army officers delivered the verdict on post moments before 2 p.m. Wednesday. They deliberated for less than three hours. Last Friday, the same panel unanimously found Hasan guilty of 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted premeditated murder for the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood. This sentencing verdict ends the court martial after 17 days. In it, Hasan, who defended himself, never...

FORT HOOD — Monday’s gut-wrenching testimony from Maj. Nidal Hasan’s victims — those he shot and the survivors of those he killed — was enough to test anybody’s opposition to the death penalty. And it was more than enough to test anybody’s ability to withhold tears. It was brutal testimony, sometimes in great detail about final meals and final photos and memories of officers knocking on doors to bring news of the death of loved ones. Angela Rivera of Tucson told of how, for years after the shooting, she’d listen to her late husband Maj. Libardo Caraveo’s voice-mail greeting on...

(CNSNews.com) – “Hiding behind ‘workplace violence’ and excluding evidence on [Army Major Nidal] Hasan’s pursuit of jihad will not make terrorism go away or properly honor the American heroes who were slain at Fort Hood,” said Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) as he lambasted the Obama administration’s decision to classify the 2009 mass shooting as “workplace violence.” “If we ever hope to defeat the ongoing threat from radical Islamism, we need to start by calling this terrorist attack on our armed forces by its name,” Cruz said in a statement Friday shortly after Hasan was found guilty on 13 counts of...

FORT HOOD — Yesterday at about 5:20 p.m. the call came into the media center: the military jury deciding the fate of Maj. Nidal Hasan was ready to reconvene. A group of journalists hastily convened and speed-walked toward the courthouse, about a quarter mile away, anxiously anticipating a verdict. The atmosphere in the courtroom was heavy: A small group of family members sat quietly as prosecutors stared straight ahead. Hasan stroked his beard and occassionally leaned in to whisper with his lead standby attorney, Lt. Col. Kris Poppe. We sat in near silence for about 15 long minutes. As we...

Seriously, folks, I do not go looking for examples of extreme Political Correctness in the military or anywhere else. As I read military news journals and  hear from the boots on the ground soldiers, it is conclusive that our great American military is being systematically disemboweled through leftist and liberal ideological engineering. Bradley (aka transgender name Chelsea) Manning has been treated with kid gloves, or rather ladies fashion gloves, from the time he enlisted in the military. He erupted into inexplicable snits during military schooling, he slapped a fellow female soldier, he sent pictures of himself dressed in women's...

The Law: Based on recent decisions, military justice isn't what it should be. In several cases, judges have made what seem to be major errors, swayed perhaps by outside pressures. Have military courts been politicized, too? The military justice system has a near-impossible job. It must not only dispense justice under the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but it often must do so with outside civilian interference. But recent events suggest that military justice is going off the rails — in large part due to the influence of politically correct thinking from civilian politics. Take the case of Army Maj....
  • Hasan trial judge: Prosecutors barred from mentioning “jihad” motive

Prosecutors will not be allowed to enter evidence that Nidal Hasan intended to commit jihad in his mass murder spree at Fort Hood nearly four years ago, the judge in the court-martial ruled yesterday. Col. Tara Osborn also struck from evidence the correspondence between Hasan and al-Qaeda leader Anwar al-Awlaki, although she did allow prosecutors to use records of Hasan’s Internet usage and search histories at the time of the shooting: This won’t hamper prosecutors at all, since Hasan admitted to the murders in his opening statement. The charges do not include terrorism, thanks to its lack of inclusion in...

The very odd trial of Ft. Hood shooter Nidal Hasan has seen the prosecution hamstrung at every turn, while Hasan merrily goes about prosecuting himself, loudly declaring he’s a jihad killer whose only real regret was not shooting a few more American troops before the cops took him down. Every tidbit of news about this trial is positively surreal. The final indignity came just before the prosecution rested its case today, as ABC News reports the Army judge “limited prosecutors from introducing evidence, including emails to a known Al Qaeda operative, that would establish accused shooter Maj. Nidal Hasan’s ‘jihadi’...

Maj. Nidal Hasan appears to be stoically slouching toward martyrdom at his court-martial – instead of using the trial as a soapbox to spout jihadist ideology, as have others in a similar position. Inside a heavily fortified compound at Fort Hood, Texas, a court-martial expected to take months is moving quickly ahead of schedule. The Army psychiatrist, accused of murdering 13 fellow soldiers and injuring more than 30 in an attack on Nov. 5, 2009, has remained cool, collected, and businesslike, even amid riveting and horrific testimony. To be sure, he could still let loose invective on the courtroom, particularly...

FORT HOOD — The past few days have featured harrowing testimony from witnesses and victims who described the gruesome, blood-soaked scene inside the medical processing center where Maj. Nidal Hasan killed 13. Yesterday columnist Ken Herman sat in the courtroom and described the scene in today’s Statesman: In a day of often harrowing testimony — “It was squirting across the room,” victim Mick Engnehl testified when asked how he knew he was bleeding — I found the most disturbing moments to be the silent ones, when prosecutors, in advance of offering them as evidence, handed Hasan small containers holding bullets...

FORT HOOD — Update 1:39 p.m.: During the height of the November 2009 shooting, Sgt. First Class Maria Guerra barricaded herself and two others in her office and listened to the rapid fire of gunshots and screaming of victims. Amid the chaos, she heard a woman’s voice yell out “Please, don’t, please don’t! My baby, my baby!” It was an apparent reference to Pvt. Francheska Velez, a 21-year-old from Chicago who had just returned from Iraq and was pregnant when she was killed during the rampage. Moments later she heard gunshots and the voice go silent. At that point Thursday,...

Standby attorneys for Maj. Nidal Hasan have filed a motion to cut ties with the man who said he carried out the Fort Hood shooting. Lt. Col. Kris Poppe said it became clear yesterday that Hasan representing himself is moving toward a death penalty and as defense attorneys they can not be put in the position of assisting him to do that. "Working in concert with the prosecution to achieve the death sentence is something we can't do," Poppe said. The judge delayed testimony and the court room cleared to consider the matter further in private with Hasan.
