Galei Tzahal - Israel Army Radio reported this morning (Sunday) that an unusual incident happened last week in the Manara area on the Lebanese border when dozens of armed men, most of them soldiers from the Lebanese army, along with a number of Hezbollah terrorists crossed the border into Israeli territory. According to the report, the incident happened last Wednesday, while the IDF was carrying out work in the Ramim Ridge area. The Lebanese soldiers who crossed the border were armed and in uniform. Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri is now disclosing the nature of his resignation, and why he left Lebanon to spend time in Saudi Arabia. It appears the Saudi and regional partners provided evidence that Iran and Hezbollah were planning an assassination targeting Hariri and his family.

Hezbollah on Tuesday urged France to "rein in Israeli aggressiveness" amid heightened concern in Beirut over recent Israeli warnings to the Shiite militant movement and its backer Syria. HEZBOLLAH rockets killed eight people in northern Israel today and four Israeli soldiers died in combat in southern Lebanon, the highest number of Israeli dead in one day since fighting began on July 12. The eight civilian deaths, in the cities of Acre and Maalot, raised to 27 the number of people killed by rocket fire from Lebanon during the conflict. The difference in reaction from Israel and India to attacks by terror organizations is so stark. I thought it would be a good topic to discuss.
