The Georgia Republican primary race for Secretary of State is deadlocked in a virtual tie. Incumbent Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger does lead his primary challenger, U.S. Representative Jody Hice (R-GA-10); however, the lead is well within the poll’s 4.3 percent margin of error. Raffensperger, in a situation that many political observers consider alarming for an incumbent, polls at far less than fifty percent. According to a poll conducted by Emerson College Polling/The Hill, Raffensperger leads Hice 28.6 percent to 26.1 percent, a margin of 2.5 percentage points. 36.6 percent of those surveyed are undecided. Former President Donald Trump,...

Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger on Sunday rebuked Rep. Jody Hice (Ga.), his challenger in the upcoming GOP primary, as being "double-minded" when it comes to the most recent national elections. "The person I'm running against, Congressman Hice, he's been in Congress for several years. He's never done a single piece of election reform legislation. Then he certified his own race with those same machines, the same ballots, and yet for President Trump, he said you couldn't trust that," Raffensperger said on CBS's "Face the Nation." "That's a double-minded person, and as a pastor, he should know better. So...

A group of House Republicans sent a letter Tuesday to the U.S. Department of State and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) demanding they expedite the evacuation of all remaining Americans and Afghan allies stuck in Afghanistan. The letter, first obtained by the Daily Caller, was spearheaded by Republican Georgia Rep. Jody Hice and signed by 10 other Republicans. In it, the lawmakers said they have stayed in touch with Americans and allies still in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan. President Joe Biden’s withdrawal left between 100-200 U.S. citizens still in the country. “Each passing day makes it more difficult to safely evacuate...

Among those attending the meeting were Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Rep. Jody Hice (R-GA.), Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), and Trump Campaign lawyer Rudy Giuliani. Four representatives-elect who will take their seats on Jan.3 2021 also committed their support: Barry Moore (R-AL), Bob Good (R-VA), Madison Cawthorn (R-NC), and Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA.) They discussed logistics, such as what the objection language for each state would look like and how the floor proceedings will work. Gaetz announced his intentions publicly at Turning Point’s Student Action Summit in Florida this weekend. When Greene exited the...

Censure Schiff Dear Friends, Congress is entering yet another week of impeachment hysteria with a fresh slate of secondhand witnesses. My colleagues on the other side of the aisle have sidelined all real legislative work, and Democrats are continuing to force this unauthorized impeachment inquiry behind closed doors. Members of Congress take a solemn oath to protect and defend the Constitution. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the Speaker of the House or the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee has sole power in an impeachment inquiry. That power belongs to the entire House, which is exactly why we...

It’s official: in January, Jody Hice will be sworn in as the next Congressman from Georgia’s 10th District. This is a man who has called Islam, the second-largest religion in the world, “a totalitarian way of life with a religious component” that “does not deserve First Amendment protection.” In his book he calls legal abortion “worse than Hitler’s six million Jews or Mussolini’s three hundred thousand,” adding that “the genocide in America is inexcusable!” In 2004, he told the Athens Banner-Herald that he doesn’t “see a problem” with women running for office “if the woman’s within the authority of her...

I had hoped that Karen Handel would be able to get into the runoff for the U.S. Senate in Georgia. She is a dear friend and was a great candidate. Though underfunded, she tirelessly built momentum in the final few weeks of the campaign. But Phil Gingrey was able to get enough support out of the metro-Atlanta portion of his district that it, among other things, held Karen back. She and Steve are dear friends and I wish the very best for them. Into the runoff, I will support my friend Jack Kingston. Jack is with us a thousand percent...

In a field that already has six candidates — Lt. Colonel Stephen Simpson, businessman Mike Collins, pastor Jody Hice, state Rep. Donna Sheldon and Brian Slowinski —, attendees of the Monroe 10th Congressional debate on Tuesday were introduced to a seventh: former U.S. Marine Mitchell Swan, who only recently entered a race that the others have been in for months. There wasn’t even standing room left for those who arrived late. Jody Hice, who hails from the area, held a barbeque behind the event’s location for his supporters. Politics and barbeque are an undeniably popular pairing in the Peach State,...
