People walk past the building that houses the offices of Cambridge Analytica in central London, March 20, 2018. Share WASHINGTON — Long before its controversial roles in the 2016 Brexit vote and U.S. presidential election, Cambridge Analytica influenced elections in Africa. The data mining company, under fire for its alleged use of 50 million Facebook accounts to shape campaign messages for then-candidate Donald Trump, also played a role in elections in Kenya and Nigeria, according to new reports. The company's first involvement in Africa dates to the general election in South Africa in 1994. That election marked the end of...

Update (June 16th, 2010 10:20 am): A press assistant at the Wilson Center confirmed this morning that what I wrote below is correct. The ceremonial dinner, honoring Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, along with a Turkish business tycoon, is scheduled for Thursday evening, at the Four Seasons, in Istanbul. What follows is my post originally written Wednesday night:Turkey’s leaders have made a lot of news lately, and it’s been ugly: holding hands with Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, blessing the lead role of the terror-linked Turkish IHH foundation in last month’s Gaza terror flotilla, and voting last week against new sanctions on Iran in...

The firm currently has operations in 20 Caribbean countries and has invested USD1 billion in the region since its launch in 2001. (Photo: Giffords)National gun control organizations still use the former presidential candidate and secretary of state to garner attention for events and fundraisers. Clinton on Notion of Ivanka Being First Female President: ‘We Don’t Want Any More Inexperienced Trumps in the White House’ Hillary Clinton shot down the idea of Ivanka Trump being President of the United States, a rumor that was written about in Michael Wolff's Fire and Fury. During an interview flagged by Newsweek, Clinton sat down with Dutch public broadcasting company KRO-NCRV where she was told daughter of the president Ivanka Trump wants to be the first female President of the United States. "That’s not going to happen," Clinton said. "No?" the interviewer responded. "No," Clinton said, shaking her head....

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gave a resume to the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation to be Deputy Attorney General. In that resume, provided under oath, he falsely stated the dates at which he worked for Ken Starr’s investigative legal team. Rosenstein testified to the Senate that he worked on Starr’s team beginning in 1995 and ending in 1997. Rosenstein said that he began working at the U.S. Attorney’s office in Maryland for the Clinton administration in the year 1997. However, records show that Rosenstein interviewed Hillary Clinton for Ken Starr in the Whitewater case on January 14, 1998....

NEW YORK — Hillary Clinton says she meant no disrespect when she said some women voters are more swayed by men. Clinton took to Facebook on Saturday to explain comments she made during an interview in India last week when she said: Democrats "do not do well with white men, and we don't do well with married, white women. And part of that is an identification with the Republican Party, and a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should." The Democrat wrote that as much as she hates...

Who’s at the top of the list of people “relitigating 2016?” Hillary Clinton, of course, who has blamed her loss on everything from James Comey to the Curse of the Bambino. So on Al Sharpton’s MSNBC show this morning, when Howard Dean emphatically instructed people relitigating 2016 to “leave us alone,” who do you think he had most in mind? Right. Sharpton apparently didn’t want his show to become a platform for criticizing Clinton: “Uh, uh, uh: watch it, Howard. You’re getting a little snippy.” Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

The White House on Thursday lashed out at former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who has been under fire for disparaging remarks she made this week about President Trump’s voters. “I think that is a perfect example of why Hillary Clinton is not in the White House,” press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during a press briefing. “She is completely disconnected from the American public and certainly I think shows her disdain for the millions and millions of Americans who came out and voted for President Trump and still support him today.”

Kellyanne Conway called out Hillary Clinton Thursday for claiming Trump voters were looking "backwards" in 2016 and blamed pressure from men for why white women voted for the president. Conway called out the former secretary of state on "Fox and Friends," asking her to "stop pretending you're a feminist, you’re for equality, you’re for fairness to women, and then running around accusing us of checking with our husbands and our significant others before we vote." Many - including Democrats up for re-election in tough states - have been critical of Clinton's comments made at the India Today Conclave. "She basically...

She articulated a central myth of the liberal elite: We are beautiful and successful because we’re morally superior. Bitter clingers. The 47 percent who are takers. You’d think after Barack Obama and Mitt Romney got burned for coining these appellations, ambitious pols would learn not to talk about the opposing party’s voters that way. Both those comments were said before private audiences and leaked out. But Hillary did them better by offering her diagnosis of the “basket of deplorables” at a public campaign event. And she refuses to learn even still.
