Say one thing for White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs: The hypocrite's got chutzpah. Too bad he's so dumb. Gibbs took a moment from his Tuesday press briefing to mock Sarah Palin for delivering a speech at last weekend's Tea Party convention in Nashville -- with notes ("Energy," "Tax cuts," etc.) scribbled on her hand. Gibbs stood at the podium and showed his press audience that he had jotted down "Eggs," "Milk," "Hope" and "Change" on his hand. Oh, and he crossed out "Bread." Get it? Palin's too darned dumb to string the element of a simple stump speech together.

After President Obama left the White House briefing room today, his press secretary, Robert Gibbs, held up a surprise of his own, literally: a scribbled list of items on his hand, in an obvious mocking of Sarah Palin’s weekend crib sheet at the Tea Party Convention. Continues...============================================================= Gibbs mimics Andrea Mitchell; Sarahcuda eats their boss's lunch Approximately 3 seconds after Sarah Palin's keynote speech to the Tea Party convention in Nashville (no wait -- less than 2 seconds), Democrat consultant Bob Shrum attacked Palin as a "merchant of hate" for opposing Obama's insane agenda. Luckily for him, Shrum's dispassionate, policy-based...

CBS has an image up, saying the video is coming, soon. Tell me again who the childish ones are, here? About all this administration seems good for right now are the jokes, frankly. Maybe Gibbs should have written, "Get a job!" Gibbs' move was a jab at Sarah Palin, who was shown to have written notes on her hand at a speech at the Tea Party convention Saturday after making an implicit criticism of the president for using a TelePrompTer. Gibbs quipped that he had made the notes in case he and the press corps are snowed in. He said...

The White House's chief spokesman used a press briefing yesterday on world affairs to -- of all things -- mock Sarah Palin. Clearly tickled with himself, Robert Gibbs showed up with a shopping list scrawled across his left hand. Included in the list of supermarket staples, like "eggs" and "milk," were two of President Obama's favorite themes, "hope" and change" -- a clear swipe at Palin, who was caught with crib notes scribbled on her palm at the Tea Party Convention in Tennessee. Palin -- who calls Obama the "guy with a TelePrompTer" -- had "energy," "tax cuts" and "lift...

Robert Gibbs Mocks Sarah Palin from White House Podium...When Imitation Isn’t Flattery February 09, 2010 Karen Travers reports: It may not have been as dead-on accurate as the Saturday Night Live impression by Tina Fey, but today White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs mocked former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) for seeming to rely on crib notes for a speech last weekend. Answering a question about the Obama Administration’s stance on health care negotiations with Republicans, Gibbs stopped and looked at his left hand and said coyly, “Oh I wrote a few things down.” “I wrote ‘eggs, milk and bread,’”...

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs flashed a left palm with notes written on it at the news briefing Tuesday, an apparent mocking reference to former Alaska governor Sarah Palin's use of her hand as notepad during the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville. The words "hope" and "change" were written on Gibbs's hand where Palin had written "energy," "tax" and "lift American spirits" on hers, the AP reports.(continued)

Less than a day after the state-run media engaged in a campaign of mockery against Sarah Palin for using 'palm-notes' during her appearance at the National Tea Party Convention, the White House has now joined in the Palin-mockery. According to breaking news from Breitbart: "Even the White House's top spokesman is getting in on the act of mocking former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin for looking to talking points written on her palm during a speech to "tea party" activists. Robert Gibbs showed the words "hope" and "change" on his hand as he started his daily briefing with reporters...

FRiends, I almost posted this last night...but since that giant walking wanker Robert Gibbs pulled his little stunt today, I thought we ought to take it a step further. Here is my hand today: I may change it tonight or tomorrow or some time in the future, but I would suggest we all put some messages on our hands...at least for a little while. Some conversation might be generated, and you might find more people agree with you than you think! :)POST your pics to this thread, and let's have fun!

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs flashed his hand at the White House press corps to jab former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Among the things he'd written in dark pen were "eggs, milk, bread," Gibbs said. This was, of course, a reference to Palin's notes she wrote on her hand during the question-and-answer portion of her address to the Tea Party Nation this weekend in Nashville. As the reporters in the room laughed, Gibbs added that he'd also written down "hope and change."

RIGHT ON— On Sunday the left went bonkers after they discovered that the TelePrompter-less former Governor Sarah Palin wrote notes on the palm of her left hand for her speech to the National Tea Party Convention in Nashville. The far left absolutely freaked over this non-issue rather than focus on her brilliant speech knocking the Obama Administration’s horrid record on economics and national defense. Today Sarah fired back… She wrote “Hi Mom!” on her palm during her campaign stop with Governor Rick Perry of Texas. Hah! Here’s one of the actual photos from Daylife. It’s not a fake:

Retired General Antonio Taguba, the officer who led the Army's investigation into Abu Ghraib, recently wrote in the preface to the new report, Broken laws, Broken Lives: "There is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes. The only question that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered the use of torture will be held to account." Should those who ordered war crimes be held to account? With the conclusion of the Bush regime approaching, many people are dubious, even those horrified by Administration actions. They fear a long, divisive ordeal that...

The other day I watched a panel discussion about the forthcoming congressional elections. The panel's conclusions ranged from Bob Novak's grim report that some believe the GOP could lose as many as 30 House seats in November to John Fund's suggestion that all is not lost (maybe), to Human Events' John Gizzi's fear that Republicans will sit out the election to National Review Kate O'Beirne's less gloomy outlook. All, however, agreed that the key to this election is Republican turnout. If GOP voters, angered with their party's failure to live up to conservative principles, elect to stay home, Election Day...
