Thursday on ABC’s “The View,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg said if President Donald Trump supports waterboarding he should “try it.” After playing a clip of Trump saying “torture works,” Goldberg said, “Well I would like to say is —I would like you to try it.” She continued, “I think people who have actually been tortured, who are saying that this is not a good thing, you should listen to them because you have never been tortured and neither has Dick Cheney.”

Did President Trump know something? Almost five years ago, Mr. Trump tweeted that Eric Schneiderman, then the new New York attorney general, was “worse than” two well-known Democratic sex criminals. On Monday night, Mr. Schneiderman was the object of the latest #MeToo bombshell. The New Yorker reported in a lengthy feature about four women — two named, two unnamed — accusing Mr. Schneiderman of slapping and choking them in intimate situations without consent and with threatening them with surveillance and death if they talked. Within hours of the article’s publication, Mr. Schneiderman resigned. Mr. Trump compared Mr. Schneiderman in a...

Actress Alyssa Milano attended an anti-NRA protest in Dallas yesterday. Milano, a child actress known for her work in series TV, tweetet her opposition to the NRA, suggesting people vote for candidates who received no NRA money. In video captured by Ben Howe, NRA member Will Haraway asked Milano’s security if he was armed and the man clearly wasn’t amused by the question. “I’m going to ask you to leave,” the guard said repeatedly, physically backing Haraway up by getting in his face. “How far do I have to go?” Haraway asked. “I’m going to need you on the sidewalk,”...

Nancy Pelosi hasn't exactly been in clover since she disdainfully sniffed that $1,000 worker bonuses were just " crumbs " following the Republican passage of tax cuts. She was so against those that she screeched that " people are going to die !" if the tax cuts dared pass in Congress. After the tax cuts did, just as in Aesop's tale of the fox and the grapes, she called the resulting unexpected bonuses "crumbs." Apparently, the fallout has been so bad on that she's backtracked on her remarks, putting out this tweet, which was noticed by Fox News: Certainly we...

California Lt. Governor Gavin Newson (D), now running for governor, says the #MeToo movement doesn’t apply to his affair with a female staffer who was married to his chief campaign adviser. At the time, Newsom was separated from his first wife, Kimberly Guilfoyle, now a Fox News host.”

A truly pastoral minister never leaves people to suffer on their own or to become a victim to their own errors and confusion, Pope Francis told members of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. An authentically pastoral approach is any effort that seeks to take people by the hand, "when they have lost a sense of their dignity and destiny, so as to lead them with confidence to rediscover God's loving paternity, their good destiny and ways to build a more humane world. This is the great task awaiting your congregation and every other pastoral institution in the...

I know the mainstream media is still licking its wounds after President-elect Donald Trump smacked them around in his first press conference since winning the election. And I hate to add salt to their wounds, but it seems they’ve got a case of amnesia. The media feigned outrage after Mr. Trump refused to take a question from a CNN reporter.“Don’t be rude,” Mr. Trump told CNN’s Jim Acosta when he tried to ask a question. “No, I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news.”He went all-out against the network because they reported on an unsubstantiated 35-page document that...

Most likely people under age 40 have no idea who John Denver was. He had a string of pop hits. Then he died in a airplane crash in some sort of experimental plane? He might have been a goofy granola-eating liberal but he did write some pretty good songs in the "folk-rock" style back in the 1970s. His first big success was writing a song called "Leaving On A Jet Plane" which was a big hit for Peter, Paul & Mary, another group of granola eating liberals. His real life name was Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. Yikes, that's a mouthful....

The married governor of Missouri was accused in a news report Wednesday of using a half-naked, S&M photo to pressure a woman he was cheating with into keeping quiet about the affair. Hours after the report on local KMOV Gov. Eric Greitens and wife Sheena issued a statement admitting to an extramarital fling, saying “Eric took responsibility and we dealt with this together honestly and privately.” The statement did not address a bombshell claim that he squeezed the woman with the photo, quoting her ex-husband saying the fling happened in March 2015 and that the future governor wanted to keep...

(That thrill wasn't up his leg!) An MSNBC spokesman confirmed Saturday the company made a separation-related payment to one of Chris Matthews employees after the woman complained about sexual harassment. Two sources familiar with the situation told The Daily Caller that Matthews paid $40,000 to settle with an assistant producer on his show, “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” in 1999 after she accused him of harassment. An MSNBC spokesperson contested that claim to the Caller, saying the company instead paid significantly less as part of a severance package.

39 second video of Pelosi at link (CNSNews.com) - House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, during whose four-year speakership the debt increased by more than $5 trillion, said at her press briefing today that the Republican-controlled Congress is “robbing from the future by increasing the debt.” Pelosi made the remark as part of her criticism of the Republican tax-reform plan. “This is who they are,” Pelosi said. “This is what they came here to do: tax cuts for the rich at the expense of the middle class, at the expense of the health and well-being of the American people. Robbing from...
