Word on the streets is that these pro-life students were writing on the sidewalk with chalk when cops came up to arrest them. They were writing "Black Pre-born Lives Matter" outside a Washington DC Planned Parenthood and then the cops arrived. Why can't they write on the ground with chalk, but protesters can paint BLM on the ground or spray paint things and not get arrested?
  • Piling on Racism Accusations to Take Down a Conservative State Legislator

The left has a bad habit of labeling conservatives racist merely for being politically incorrect. Whereas when someone on the left actually is racist, they get a free pass. Hillary Clinton recently joked about how a woman interviewing her confused the two black men Eric Holder and Cory Booker. “Yeah, I know they all look alike," Clinton laughed. Most of the left-leaning media didn’t even bother covering the incident. Contrast this to what is happening with conservative Arizona State Rep. David Stringer (R-Prescott). Stringer is a culture warrior, who is concerned about illegal immigrants and radical Islamists entering the country and changing the culture. This...

WASHINGTON - Republicans moved Tuesday to seek Rep. William J. Jefferson's expulsion from the House, a day after the Louisiana Democrat was indicted on charges of receiving more than $500,000 in bribes. Jefferson, meanwhile, relinquished his seat on the House Small Business Committee before members of his own party could vote to kick him off the panel. In a two-paragraph letter to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (news, bio, voting record), Jefferson, 60, said he was taking the step "in the light of recent developments in a legal matter." Republicans, citing Pelosi's election-season promise to run the most ethical House in history,...

    - - Several judges have conflicts similar to those of 2 jurists who had to step down AUSTIN - The appearance of possible bias forced two judges out of the criminal case against U.S. Rep. Tom DeLay last year, and similar issues could taint some judges on two appeals panels that are now considering the charges against the former majority leader. The two three-judge panels on the 3rd Court of Appeals in Austin are considering appeals that could effectively end the DeLay prosecution. One panel is scheduled to hear oral arguments in the case Wednesday. Several judges on the panels...

AUSTIN (AP) - Embattled Rep. Tom DeLay will move a step closer this week to resolving felony charges against him, but the appeals court hearing may remind voters about his legal troubles at a time when he is trying to win re-election to Congress. >>>Prosecutors on Wednesday (3/22/06-TAB)<<< will try to convince the 3rd Court of Appeals to restore the criminal conspiracy and money laundering charges against DeLay that cost him his post as House majority leader last fall. DeLay also has one other money laundering count against him. State district Judge Pat Priest dismissed the conspiracy part of the...

-- The head of the struggling Texas Democratic Party will quit his post two months before his term was to expire, which could set the stage for a showdown over the leadership of the party that once dominated state politics. Charles Soechting, a lawyer who became state Democratic chairman in 2003 and had planned to step aside when his term ends in June, will tell the party's executive committee Saturday that his last day in the unpaid job will be April 22. The committee, made up of two people from each of the 31 state Senate districts and other party...
