Chicago Police said Sunday night that a child’s head was found in the Garfield Park lagoon, and the case has been classified as a death investigation. Earlier in the day, doctors were awaiting the results of a post-mortem examination of a child’s hands and feet found Saturday in the lagoon. FOX LAKE, Illinois -- Sources tell Tribune partner WGN that a Fox Lake police officer has died after being shot Tuesday morning, September 1st. Sources tell WGN that the officer's gun and pepper spray was taken. Meanwhile, police are searching for two suspects: one white male and one black male. There is also possibly a third suspect.
