HISTORY OF U.S. DEPORTATIONS and REMOVALS Throughout history, sovereign nations have frequently expelled those people the government considered threats. Many foreign states also have a history of not expelling those threats – but KILLING THEM. We don't do that here. At least, not yet! But, should those legitimately targeted for expulsion violently resist, we could see that at some point. Here's a short list of earlier American actions in that area: Following the Indian Removal Act of 1830, many members of the "Five Civilized Tribes" did not wish to assimilate.
