I've checked some lists of image-hosting sites, but perhaps someone can point me to good ones: -free -minimal "registration" (prefer not, or ability to use fake name) -no propaganda such as promoting BLM, homos, etc.

I have been using IMGUR.com to upload images and display them at Free Republic for years. Not one of those images has ever disappeared until now. Got this one this morning I don't know what the image was so I am downloading all the ones I have for safekeeping. The war on free speech is accelerating as we approach November 3rd.

TinyPic is shutting down its image hosting service because we can no longer support a free service that derives 100% of its revenue from ever declining on-site ad revenues. While you may continue to host images from our site until further notice, we encourage you to consider selecting one of the premium plans offered by our sister site, Photobucket. Thanks for using TinyPic for your hosting needs over the years. We apologize that we can no longer continue providing this service, but Photobucket is a great option going forward.

Need suggestions for another site offering FREE third party image sharing. Photobucket just informed me that they will continue to offer that for the modest sum of 400 bucks per year. Adios, PHOTOBUCKET! Thanks.

Photobucket has decided that they know how I want my images displayed better than I do.If I had a free account I would have no right to complain but I've been paying for storage for at least 7 or 8 years.I don't mind paying for service but I expect some control over my galleries.Photobucket is catering to the kids with cellphone cameras and more interested in selling ads for bling than in hosting serious accounts. I'm trying a 15 day trial at Smugmug, if I like it I've got to start moving photos.
  • New service of use to freepers, ourmedia.com *vanity*

Hello all, I posted this over at protestwarrior also... I recommend checking out out http://ourmedia.org it seems they are offering a free service to host public domain media, including video, since one wrong link can drive up a bandwidth bill I think this is quite cool. I think registration just opened up so they are getting slammed a bit, but it does work You have to register there and at archive.org, but it seems well worth it, especially considering I didn't really have to give them any personal information to do so, cheers BT
