David Kay was on Hardball last night and said that Khidhir Hamza was back in Iraq working for the Iraqi Government. Kay said that what Khidhir said was 100% not true. Aparently, he was spreading disinformation so that the international community would move against Saddam. Did anyone else see this?

The account of the Iraqi physicist who ran Saddam Hussein's nuclear bombmaking program from 1972 to 1994 supports President George W. Bush's State of the Union address claim that Iraq sought uranium from Africa - and starkly contradicts Bush administration critics who insist that the Iraqi nuclear weapons program ended after the first Gulf War. Dr. Khidir Hamza, known as "Saddam's Bombmaker" to U.S. and British intelligence officials, said last fall that an Iraqi intelligence team "recently took delivery in Africa" of what he said were spent fuel rods from a Russian nuclear reactor. The Dallas Morning News covered...

Brazil uranium sales to Iraq stir debate By Carmen Gentile From the International Desk Published 9/24/2002 8:52 PM RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Recent allegations by a dissident Iraqi scientist that Saddam Hussein's regime is constructing nuclear weapons using uranium supplied by Brazil during the early 1980s have led to the re-emergence of claims that the country smuggled large amounts of the material to Iraq in exchange for oil and nuclear weapons technology. In an interview with The Times of London last week, Khidir Hamza -- who defected from Iraq in 1994 -- told the British newspaper...

President Bush says we're waging a "War on Terror," but the terrorists have made it clear what they're fighting for. A vote for Bush or Kerry will be a vote for or against the war on terror. Kerry, of course, has already famously said, "I think there has been an exaggeration" of the terror threat by the Bush White House. Others on the Left go even farther, complaining that the word terrorism itself is being kept deliberately imprecise: "Few American politicians or commentators," asserts John V. Whitbeck, an international lawyer based in Saudi Arabia, in Tuesday’s International Herald Tribune, "dare...
