LAWRENCEVILLE, GA (CBS46) - Lawrenceville police are investigating a claim that involves a Democratic National Committee tour bus illegally dumping human waste in between campaign stops. The incident occurred on Grayson Highway, Tuesday morning. Police say when they arrived on the scene, toilet paper was scattered everywhere and there was a foul smell. A Lawrenceville businessman took several photos of the tour bus dumping waste into the storm drain. You can see in the pictures, a liquid coming from the bottom of the bus. An AR-15 that was used as a photo prop for a Saturday wedding in Laurel Hill was taken from the owner's vehicle over the weekend. The Crestview man told Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office deputies that he left his car unlocked for a period of time during the event. The tarantula mating season is in full swing, with male arachnids on the prowl searching for mates. Wildlife experts said the tarantulas are harmless to humans, but warn the spiders do have fangs and carry poison. California's historic drought may have contributed to a higher number of the giant spiders this year. The tarantula mating season will end by the end of October.

The commuter bus driver charged with killing an 11-year-old boy on Friday while driving with a suspended license has been in 10 accidents and had nine license suspensions, an official said today.  Raul O. Delatorre-Galarza, 44, of Elizabeth, was behind the wheel of a commuter van at about 8 a.m. Friday when it struck George Gonzalez as he crossed Kennedy Boulevard at Neptune Avenue on his way to catch his school bus, authorities said. The 11-year-old, who lived with his aunt nearby, was pronounced dead a short time later at Jersey City Medical Center.

GLASGOW, Mont. -- An eastern Montana man has been given a 30-year suspended prison sentence after pleading guilty to raping his 12-year-old daughter last year. District Judge John McKeon sentenced the man to 60 days in jail for incest, giving him credit for 17 already served, the Glasgow Courier reported.
