Things have changed since Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan declared then-presidential candidate Barack Obama to be “the hope of the entire world.” Much to the chagrin of the Nation of Islam, Obama has turned out to be a relative hawk in his dealings with the Middle East, continuing Bush administration tactics, increasing drone attacks, taking out terrorists on foreign soil, working to depose dictatorial regimes and now overseeing the demise of Nation of Islam friend and supporter, Moammar Gadhafi. When President Barack Obama committed the American military to intervene in the Libyan Civil War earlier this year, in an...

In a two-hour speech yesterday, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan called for blacks to take off their bedroom slippers (echoing President Obama), and called for a central bank to help blacks rebuild their own communities. He called upon black millionaires and billionaires to set up a corporation to loan money to blacks, who would buy land and create their own jobs in agribusiness and animal husbandry. Addressing the thousands gathered at the Convention Center for the final day of the anniversary of the Million Man March in Washington, D.C., in 1995, he railed against the government’s military actions in...

Considering the disastrous effect we are witnessing because of the election of an unqualified person as president, who then appoints an even more unqualified individual as attorney general – do we now really want our communities patrolled and protected by unqualified, barely-able-to-tie-their-own-shoestrings police officers? That's exactly what's happening in the Dayton, Ohio, Police Department – and it is happening under the directive of Attorney General Eric Holder's Department of Justice. Obama was to be America's post-racial president, and yet, he has, from the beginning, shown his eagerness to be the polar opposite. Race has led the way in Obama's administration...

On CBS Evening News, congressional correspondent Nancy Cordes implied that the House Homeland Security Committee hearing on the radicalization of American Muslims was simply a political show staged by chairman Peter King. She declared that "King's own past assertion that most U.S. mosques are run by radicals" resulted in "poisoning the hearing." She praised the emotional testimony of Rep. Keith Ellison. Nationally syndicated radio host Bev Smith compares the Rev. Louis Farrakhan with Martin Luther King. Local Jewish leader David Ainsman likens him to a Nazi. And those diverging views are creating quite a bit of controversy. Rev. Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam, is scheduled to speak Friday night at a town hall meeting organized by Ms. Smith on the subject of "The Disappearing Black Community." He was originally going to appear along with U.S. Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C., and civil rights leader Melanie Campbell. Rev. Farrakhan's planned speech has drawn criticism from both local and national Jewish groups,...

Hence the failure to mention Gaddafi by name. From July 17, 2010 (American Thinker): Remember as a kid drawing connect-the-dots pictures? Simply follow the dots and a clear picture emerges. As an adult, connecting the dots of Obama’s actions leads to an oxymoronic picture. A clear picture of a murky web. Obama’s actions continually link him to people and causes that the majority of Americans do not support. The recent event of another aid ship sailing to Gaza is an example of to whom and what the strands of Obama’s web link him, and unfortunately America. Last year, right around...

As the controversy surrounding the video of former USDA employee Shirley Sherrod begins to dissipate with the revelation that her seemingly-racist statements, made at an NAACP banquet, were taken out-of-context, a new controversy is emerging involving the NAACP and the issue of racism. And it involves an organization that has been very prominent in the news lately – the New Black Panther Party. On May 3rd, in Atlanta, the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) held its 2010 National Black Power Convention, which brought together an odd assortment of racists, black separatists, and mainstream figures from the worlds of politics and...

[S]omehow, in some fashion, the NAACP began to go Gibson. Or, to be more precise, a new reality began to crash through the old image. Now the NAACP -- which so many Jews and whites had a hand in helping to create -- began to reverberate to the tones of the anti-Semite and the racist. Take the case of Minister of Islam Louis Farrakhan, whose anti-Semitic sentiments might be the only thing he has in common with Mel Gibson. "Hitler was a great man," said Farrakhan. Jews were "bloodsuckers" said Farrakhan. "The white man is our mortal enemy, and we...

During a time of economic decline, persistent cultural strife, deepening American involvement in far-off military conflicts, and rapid environmental deterioration, is there any wonder that some have turned to apocalyptic “salvation narratives” promising both a transcendent, everlasting future and violent retribution against perceived evildoers? A CNN poll in 2002 found that 59% of Americans believe that the prophecies in the Book of Revelations will come true. The startling number reflected the still-fresh trauma of the 9/11 attacks, but I suspect that it has held steady, if not risen. Indeed, mainstream American culture is permeated by apocalypticism; the blockbuster-movie hit 2012...

The buzz about a tape surfacing of Michelle Obama ranting about "Whitey" together with Louis Farrakhan and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright is interesting, if not a deal breaker. When it comes out, Barack will be permanently branded with the Nation of Islam - not a good tag when running for President of the United States. There is no coincidence that Barrack Obama "quit" his controversial church yesterday, just as news of this tape hit. But his ties with the Nation of Islam do not get cut just because he "quits" the church. "Barack hired two members of the Nation of...

The issues that remain concern Barack Obama's judgment and his credibility. If Pastor Wright agrees to be interviewed by other than Bill Moyers, the questions should ask not for his opinions on various controversies, but for facts about his relationship with the senator. For instance, did Pastor Wright discuss Louis Farrakhan with Obama before during or after they both attended the Million Man March? Were they together during that trip. Did Senator Obama indicated unease with or criticism of Farrakhan? How often did you see Obama at Trinity on Sunday over the past twenty years? Any particular dates you can...

RFFM.org Commentary I know most of you have heard just about enough from the so-called Reverend Jeremiah Wright. I'm sure Barack Obama has. But let's face it, to Republicans and Hillary Clinton, Wright is the gift that keeps on giving. Nothing more really needs to be said. The man is a bona fide hater and those who receive his hate-filled wrath are in some good company. On April 28th Wright spoke at the National Press Club in Washington, D. C. Besides the usual tirade, Wright entered into some revealing dialogue after he was asked about his relationship with Louis Farrakhan....

What do each of the following individuals and organizations have in common? William Ayers (Weatherman Underground bomber, unrepentant domestic terrorist) Jeremiah White (Black Liberation militant, racist, and Pastor) Louis Farrakhan (Nation of Islam Leader, racist, anti-American) The New Black Panther Party (Black Militant Organization, anti-American and racist) Hamas Terrorist Organization (Islamic Terrorist Organisation) They all hate America, they all want to destroy America as we have traditionally known it, they all want the United States to retreat in the war, and they all want to make over the United States into a marxist/socialist/collective nation that is much more disposed toward...

The Black man in America faces a serious economic problem today and the White race’s Christianity cannot solve it. You, the so-called American Negro, with the help of Allah can solve your own problem. The truth must be recognized by the Black man. He, himself, has assisted greatly in creating this serious problem of unemployment, insecurity and lack. Before the Black man can begin to gain economic security, he must be awakened from the dead and gain knowledge, understanding and wisdom which will enable him to follow my teachings. Islam and only Islam will point the way out of the...

Jeremiah Wright, Mr. Obama's youth and powerful skills as an orator continue to offer hope to many that he can bridge what he defined in his speech as a national "stalemate" ... On the Sunday in 2003 when Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. shouted "God damn America" from the pulpit of Trinity United Church of Christ, he defined damnation as God's way of holding humanity accountable for its actions. Obama has denounced Wright's most provocative remarks, but in a speech on race last week he defended Wright as a person and refused to disown him as his pastor. Sunday after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Wright preached...the "brutally honest" last verses of Psalm 137, which he said "spotlight the insanity of the cycle of violence." THRILLED by the mess the Democrats are making of their presidential nomination contest, Rush Limbaugh, the right-wing radio rabble-rouser, has hit upon a wizard wheeze. He has urged Republicans to register themselves as Democrats in the key primary state of Pennsylvania, and “if they can stomach it” to cast a vote for Senator Hillary Clinton. The aim, says Limbaugh, is to help Clinton prolong the primary race as long as possible, thereby ensuring a Democratic bloodbath at the party’s nominating convention this summer, and handing the White House to Senator John McCain, who is certain of the Republican nomination. Limbaugh...

He's a Muslim. He was sworn into office on the Koran. He doesn't say the Pledge of Allegiance. His pastor is an anti-Semite. He's a tool of Louis Farrakhan. He's anti-Israel. His advisers are anti-Israel. He's friends with terrorists. The terrorists want him to win. He's the Antichrist. By now you've probably seen at least some of these e-mails and articles about Barack Obama bouncing around the Internet. They distort Obama's religious faith, question his support for Israel, warp the identity and positions of his campaign advisers and defame his friends and allies from Chicago. The purpose of the smear...

Chicago Sun-Times columnist Mary Mitchell has proven that skin color is deeper than hate in her Sunday column as she scolded Barack Obama for distancing himself from the endorsement of the racist Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan. Mitchell scoffed at Barack's denouncement of Farrakhan as merely a "game" to placate racist white people and tried to pump up the legitimacy of Farrakhan at the same time. Shockingly Mitchell excused every hateful thing ever said by Farrakhan and said that Barack should have "found a way" to accept Farrakhan's endorsement "without denigrating Farrakhan's legacy." Mitchell scolded Barack Obama because he...

The messianic rhetoric surrounding Barack Obama's presidential run just got a little stranger, although in one sense somewhat fitting. Speaking at the Nation of Islam's annual Saviour's Day event, Louis Farrakhan claimed that Obama could be the only person who could "lift America from its fall," and compared him to NoI founder Fard Mohammed (via Memeorandum): In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the "hope of the entire world" that the U.S. will change for the better. The 74-year-old Farrakhan, addressing an estimated...
